The E_{a} for the process is 7265.2 Joules/mol.

<h3>Calculation of E_{a} :</h3>

Instead of providing us with the rate constants at two distinct temperatures, the information in the issue provides us with the time needed at two different temperatures.

For a specific process, the ratio of rate constants will match the ratio of rates.

A ratio of rates will have an inverse relationship with a ratio of times since rates are inversely related to time (greater time equals smaller rate). Below is a summary of this.

Using Arrhenius equation:

ln\frac{k_{1} }{k_{2} } =\frac{-Ea [1/T_{2} -1/T_{1}] }{R}

k_{1} =1/4.5

k_{2} =1/4.8

T_{1} = 273 +100

= 373 K

T_{2} = 273 + 90

= 363 K

Gas constant R = 8.314 Joules/Kelvin.mol

ln4.8/4.5 = -Ea/8.314 [1/373 - 1/363]

0.064539 x 8.314 = Ea x 0.000073856

E_{a} = 7265.2 Joules/mol

Hence, The E_{a} for the process is 7265.2 Joules/mol.

Rzqust [24]
If the mass of all of the products in a chemical reaction is equal to 100g then the mass of the reactants in that same reaction had to have had a mass of 100g this is due to the law of conservation of matter stating matter cannot be created or destroyed in a chemical reaction.

During dry weather, the water level in a small pond drops because of
Sophie [7]

Water levels tend to drop in dry weather because of evaporation. The hot temperatures will cause the water to achieve its gaseous state and go up into the atmosphere.

Please list about 10 facts about viscosity
MariettaO [177]
Viscosity is the thickness of a liquid, cause by the friction between the molecules in that liquid. A very high viscosity would result in a solid form and low would be a liquid. If a liquid as zero viscosity is only found in superfluids at there freezing points or lower. There are also two types of viscosity “dynamic” (which is measure in seconds, pascal seconds to be exact) and “kinematic” (which is measured in metre per second squared)

Fun fact they use viscosity to predict when volcanoes are going to erupt:)

Hope this helps I love sciencey stuff so if you need anymore help let me know!
