The order of the Increasing (lowest) boiling point is HCl < HBr < HF.

As we know, the boiling point of any given molecule depends on intermolecular interactions. Therefore, the higher the strength of intermolecular interactions, the higher will be the boiling point.

Now, we have given the hydrogen halides. F, Cl, and Br belong to the group of halides.

The boiling point depends upon the hydrogen bond between the given molecules.

The given molecules are HCl, HF, and HBr. The dominating force between the molecules is van der Waals forces. Hence, the higher the van der waals forces, the higher will be the boiling point. HBr has a larger size.

Also, we know, that the larger the molecule size, the less will be the van der Waals force and hence have very less hydrogen bonding.

Now, HF has the strongest hydrogen bonding and therefore has the highest boiling point. HF also exists in the liquid state.

Therefore, we can conclude the order of increasing boiling point:-

HCl > HBr > HF

The order of the increasing (lowest) boiling point is HCl < HBr < HF.

An isotope of yttrium has 39 protons and 59 neutrons. what is the atomic mass of that isotope?
Charra [1.4K]
We can define atomic mass the total of number of protons and number of neutrons in an atom or isotope.
So when an isotope of yttrium has 39 protons and 59 neutrons, its atomic mass is equal to;
number of protons + number of neutrons = 39 + 59 = 98

Which of the followings are true 1,3-BPG? A. It regulates Hb B. It contains a high-energy bond C. It contains two ester bonds D.
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

D. It contains a phosphate with higher phosphoryl transfer potential than ATP

Explanation:

1,3-Bisphosphoglycerate contains a phosphate group that has high phosphoryl transfer potential than ATP (they can transfer the phosphoryl group to ATP). Other high phosphoryl transfer potential groups include :Creatine kinase and phosphoenolpyruvate.
