The molecular formula of this compound is C₂H₂N.

Divide the molar mass of the compound by the molar mass of the molecular formula. The result will be an integer or very close to an integer. Multiply all subscripts of the molecular formula by the integers found in step 2. The result is a sum expression. A molecular formula is a formula that defines the number of atoms for each element in the molecule of a compound.

Displays the actual number of each atom in the molecule. Molecular compounds are inorganic compounds that take the form of discrete molecules. Examples are familiar substances such as water (H2O) and carbon dioxide. These compounds are very different from ionic compounds such as sodium chloride.

2C2H2(l) +5O2(g)→ 4Co2(g) + 2H2O

The limiting reactant for reaction above is O2

explanation

The limiting reagent is determined using mole ratio of both reactant.

that is the mole ratio of C2H2:O2 which is 2:5 .

The mole ratio above implies that 37.0 mole of C2H2 needs 37.0 moles x5/2=92 moles of O2.

Since the available moles of O2 was 81.0 mole and 92 moles are required to completely react with C2H2 , O2 is the limiting reagent.

does anyone know how to find the electron configuration of an element without using a periodic table?? group and period is alrea
snow_lady [41]
For that you have to use the Aufbau principle

For example, writing the electronic configuration of Fe(28)

I recommend that you memorize the aufbau principle. Once you learn it, you don’t need anything else except the atomic number of the element to write it’s electronic configuration.
