Consider an electrical circuit which has two 50.0- resistors connected in parallel with each other. This pair of resistors is wi

red in series with a third identical resistor. The current supplied to the circuit comes from a 24.0-V battery.

The equivalent resistance for the circuit is 25 ohms.

The current flowing through each resistor is 0.48 A.

The total current flowing through the circuit is 0.96 A.

<h3>What is equivalent resistance for the circuit?</h3>

The equivalent resistance of the parallel circuit is calculated as follows;

1/Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2

where;

  • Rt is the equivalent resistance
  • R1 is the first resistance
  • R2 is the second resistance

1/Rt = 1/50 + 1/50

1/Rt = 0.04

Rt = 1/0.04

Rt = 25 ohms

The current through each resistor is calculated as follows;

Current in first resistor = V/R1

Current in first resistor =  24 / 50 = 0.48 A

Current in second resistor = V/R2

Current in second resistor =  24 / 50 = 0.48 A

The total current in the parallel circuit is calculated as follows;

I = V/Rt

I = 24/25

I = 0.96 A

OR

add the first and second current together = 0.48 A + 0.48 A = 0.96 A.

Alternating current is normally produced by a
aliina [53]

Answer:

B) generator

Explanation:

Alternating current is a type of current that changes direction periodically which is produced by a generator. This generator consists of a magnet and a loop of wire which rotates in the magnetic field of the magnet.

Therefore, from the given question, alternating current is normally produced by a generator.

A car of mass 1500 kg travels due East with a constant speed of 25.0 m/s. Eventually it turns right, and travels due South with
e-lub [12.9K]

Answer:

The direction of the car’s change in linear momentum is 149.04° West of North

Explanation:

Momentum is defined as the product of mass of a body and its velocity

Momentum = mass × velocity

Change in Momentum = mass × change in velocity

∆P = m∆v

∆P = m(v-u)

Given m = 1500kg

v = 25m/s

u = 15m/s

∆P = 1500(25-15)

∆P = 1500×10

∆P = 15,000kgm/s

Since the car first travels due East i.e +x direction

x = 25m/s

Travelling due south is negative y direction

y = -15m/s

Direction of the car change

θ = tan^-1(y/x)

θ = tan^-1(-15/25)

θ = tan^-1(-0.6)

θ = -30.96°

Since tan is negative in the second quadrant

θ = 180-30.96

θ = 149.04°

The direction of the car’s change in linear momentum is 149.04° West of North

MArishka [77]

Answer:

Frontal

Explanation:

Brad has experienced a relatively severe left hemisphere stroke. As a result, he is unable to move his right arm and has a great deal of difficulty with planning and attention. The stroke most likely caused damage to the _Frontal_______ lobes.

Frontal lobes are our emotional control center. Frontal lobes are responsible for our memory, relationships, language, irritation, judgement and social and sexual behavior.

Reading glasses of what power are needed for a person whose near point is 125 cm , so that he can read a computer screen at 54 c
Burka [1]

Answer:

1.11 dioptre

Explanation:

d_{i} = Distance of the image = - (125 - 2) = - 123 cm

d_{o} = Distance of the object = 54 - 2 = 52 cm

f = Focal length of the lens

Using the equation

\frac{1}{d_{o}} + \frac{1}{d_{i}} = \frac{1}{f}

\frac{1}{52} + \frac{- 1}{123} = \frac{1}{f}

f = 90.1 cm

Power of the lens is given as

P = \frac{100}{f}

P = \frac{100}{90.1}

P = 1.11 Dioptre
