In the periodic table the lanthanoid and the actinides are place separately at the bottom because of their electronic configuration and their properties compared to the other elements.

The  the lanthanoid and the actinides are place separately at the bottom in the periodic table due to their electronic configuration and the properties. and to make the periodic table more convenient . if we place the f block elements that is he lanthanoid and the actinides then the size of the periodic table will increase. the f block elements are called as the inner transition element.

Thus , to make the periodic table more convenient and to group the elements in the block the the lanthanoid and the actinides are place separately at the bottom.

Soloha48 [4]

9 moles of reactants chemically change into 11 moles of product.

Explanation:

In the reaction above, 9 moles of reactants chemically change into 11 mole of products. The coefficients in a reaction is the number of moles of the reacting atoms .

  • For example 8O₂ depicts 8 moles of two oxygen atoms.
  • The number of moles  is a unit for quantifying particles.
  • You can liken it to a dozen, gross or a score.
  • Since a mole of a substance contains avogadro number of particles. We can relate the number of moles to other parameters.

1. How many moles of CO2 can be produced from a reaction of 10.0 moles CzHg?
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

20 moles of CO2 can be produced from a reaction of 10.0 moles C2H6

Explanation:

In this reaction -

2 moles of C₂H6 produces four molecules of Carbon dioxide (CO2)

So 1 mole of C₂H6 will produce \frac{4}{2} = 2 moles of Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Thus, 10 moles of C₂H6 will produce 2 * 10 = 20 moles of Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Substance X has a fixed volume, and the attraction between its particles is strong. Substance Y has widely spread out particles
ycow [4]

Answer: Option (d) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

In solids, molecules are held together by strong intermolecular forces of attraction. As a result, they are unable to move from their initial position and can only vibrate at their mean position.

Hence, a solid has definite shape and volume. Solids cannot be compressed.

Whereas in plasma, molecules are hot ionized which include positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. They collide much more rapidly with each other and are widely spreaded out.

Therefore, they occupy the volume of container in which they are placed. Plasma can be compressed.

Thus, we can conclude that substance X is a solid and substance Y is a plasma.
