Aster's final position from her initial position is 63 m approximately. She will head north west direction to return to her initial position

<h3>What is Displacement ?</h3>

Displacement is the distance travelled in a specific direction. It is a vector quantity.

Given that a person walks first 70 m in the direction 37° north of east, and then walks 82 m in the direction 20° south of east, and finally walks 28 m in the direction 30° west of north.

a) Let P be the Aster's final position from her initial position?

We can use bearing by using Cosine formula to solve this question.

P² = 70² + 82² - 2 × 70 × 82 cos 73

P² = 4900 + 6724 - 11480 cos 73

P² = 11624 - 3356.43

P² = 8267.57

P = √8267.57

P = 90.9 m

P = 90.9 - 28

P = 62.9 m

We can get the angle by using Sine rule

82/ sin Ф = 90.9 / sin 73

sin Ф = 0.8627

Ф = Sin^{-1} (0.8627)

Ф = 59.6°

Ф = 60°

b)  She will head north west direction to return to her initial position

An 19-cm-long bicycle crank arm, with a pedal at one end, is attached to a 23-cm-diameter sprocket, the toothed disk around whic
Cloud [144]

Answer:

The tangential acceleration of the pedal is 0.0301 m/s².

Explanation:

Given that,

Length = 19 cm

Diameter = 23 cm

Time = 10 sec

Initial angular velocity = 65 rpm

Final velocity = 90 rpm

Suppose we need to find the tangential acceleration of the pedal

We need to calculate the tangential acceleration of the pedal

Using formula of tangential acceleration

a_{t}=r\alpha

a_{t}=\dfrac{23\times10^{-2}}{2}\times\dfrac{\omega_{2}-\omega_{1}}{t}

a_{t}=\dfrac{23\times10^{-2}}{2}\times\dfrac{90\times\dfrac{2]pi}{60}-65\times\dfrac{2\pi}{60}}{10}

a_{t}=0.0301\ m/s^2

Hence, The tangential acceleration of the pedal is 0.0301 m/s².

How do you find speed of a ball at maximum height
Crazy boy [7]

Explanation:

At maximum height, the vertical component of a ball's speed is 0.  So the net speed is equal to whatever the horizontal component of the ball is.  If the ball is launched straight up, the speed at the highest point is simply 0.

20. GP A sinusoidal wave traveling in the negative x direction (to the left) has an amplitude of 20.0cm, a wavelength of 35.0cm,
umka21 [38]

The angular frequency of the wave is determined as 75.4 rad/s.

<h3>What is wave function?</h3>

A wave function is a mathematical equation for the motion of the wave.

y(x, t) = A sin(kx + ωt + Φ)

where;

  • ω is angular speed
  • k is angular wavenumber
  • Φ is phase angle

<h3>What is angular frequency?</h3>

The angular frequency is the angular displacement of any wave element per unit of time or the rate of change of the waveform phase.

<h3>Angular frequency</h3>

ω = 2πf

ω = 2π(12)

ω = 75.4 rad/s

Thus, the angular frequency of the wave is determined as 75.4 rad/s.
