Russian ice skater, Alina Zagitova, spins her way to projected Gold in the 2018 Olympics. During one particular spin, she moves

from a camel spin that rotates at about 95.0 RPM to a tight spin. If her rotational inertia changes from 129kgm² to 32.0kgm², what is the final spin rate of Miss Zagitova in rad/s and RPM

 By conservation of angular momentum

I1*ω1 = I2*ω2 -----> I1*ω1/I2 = 129*95/32 = 383 RPM <<<<<

383 rev/min * 2πrad/rev * 1min/60s = 383*2π/60 = 40.1 radians/s <<<

Define s.i unit of force explanation
kvv77 [185]
<h3><u>Answer</u> :</h3>

◈ As per newton's second law of motion, Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration.

Mathematically,

\dag\:\boxed{\bf{\purple{F=ma}}}

Unit of mass : kg

Unit of acceleration : m/s²

Therefore,

Unit of force ➠ <u>kg m/s²</u>

SI unit : <u>N (newton)</u> or <u>kg m/s²</u>

What is happening to the average kinetic energy of the molecules in a pot of water when it is heated on a stove? Explain your an
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Explanation:

The average kinetic energy of molecules in a pot increases when it is heated on a stove . The heat energy is spent to decrease the intermolecular attractive force . The result is increase in kinetic energy due to increase in the velocity of molecules

formula for kinetic energy of one mole of a monoatomic  gas

= 3/2 RT

when temperature increases , kinetic energy increases .

A ball is thrown straight upward. How does the sign of the work done by gravity while the ball is traveling upward compare with
Vlada [557]
If I’m understanding this. Th reason why the ball can resist gravity’s pull is because the force used to throw it up was greater than gravity’s pull on it. BTW, gravity’s pull is 9.8m/s. So it would have to be greater than that

The mass of a golf ball is 45.9 g . if it leaves the tee with a speed of 62.0 m/s , what is its corresponding wavelength?
inn [45]

The wavelength of the golf ball is <u>2.328×10⁻³⁴m.</u>

All moving particles with mass have a matter wave associated with it. These matter waves are called deBroglie waves.

The deBroglie wavelength λ of a particle is given by,

\lambda=\frac{h}{mv}

Here, h is the Planck's constant, m is the mass of the ball and v is its velocity.

Calculate the deBroglie wavelength of the moving golf ball by substituting 6.626×10⁻³⁴J s for h, 45.9×10⁻³kg for m and 62.0 m/s for v.

\lambda=\frac{h}{mv}\\ =\frac{6.626*10^-^3^4Js}{(45.9*10^-^3kg)(62.0m/s)} \\ =2.328*10^-^3^4m

The wavelength of the golf ball is  <u>2.328×10⁻³⁴m.</u>
