Assume that the shape of Virginia beach is rectangular.

Note that
1 km = 10³ m
1 cm = 10⁻² m

The area is
A = (15 km)*(50 km)
   = (15 x 10³ m)*(50 x 10³ m)
   = 7.5 x 10⁸ m²

Because 2 cm of rain fell, the volume is
V = (7.5 x 10⁸ m)*(2 x 10⁻² m) = 1.5 x 10⁶ m³

Answer:  1.5 x 10⁶ m³

Four resistors (67 ohm, 83 ohm, 433 ohm, and 309 ohm in that order) are connected in series to a 7.92 V battery of negligible in
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

.737 v

Explanation:

Since they are in series....they all have the same current running through them.....find the total resistance to calculate the current:

R = 67 + 83 + 433 + 309 = 892 ohm

V/R = current = 7.92 / 892 = 8.87 mAmps

Now the voltage across ecah resistor is   I R

 for the second one   8.87 ma * 83 ohm = V = .737 V

Aldis is swinging a ball tied to the end of a string over his head. Suddenly, the string breaks and the ball flies away. Arrow b
prisoha [69]

Answer:

Straight line in the direction of the tangential velocity the ball had at the moment the string broke

Explanation:

After the string breaks, the ball now disconnected from the centripetal force that was exerted via the string, continues its travel in a straight line in the direction of the tangential velocity it had at the moment the string broke.

A 39-cm-long vertical spring has one end fixed on the floor. Placing a 2.2 kg physics textbook on the spring compresses it to a
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

The spring constant is 215.6 N/m.

Explanation:

Given that,

Distance = 39 cm

Compresses length = 29 cm

Mass = 2.2 kg

We need to calculate the distance

Using formula of distance

x=l-l'

Put the value into the formula

x=39-29=10\ cm

We need to calculate the spring constant

Using formula of restoring force

F=kx

k=\dfrac{mg}{x}

Where, F = force

x = distance

Put the value into the formula

k=\dfrac{2.2\times9.8}{10\times10^{-2}}

k=215.6\ N/m

Hence, The spring constant is 215.6 N/m.
