Teens are more susceptible to the effects of drugs than adults. This statement is true.

Further Explanation:

Teens are more susceptible to the effects of drugs because the body of the teenager is not so adaptive to the drugs like the body of an adult. The people who usually practice drugs form a habit and their body gets adapted to all the associated effects. The teens usually have a high susceptibility to the drugs because their bodies are not so adapted and habitual to the drugs. The body reacts differently and the reactions are generally more than that of an adult. Teen brain is affected differently and hence they are more susceptibility toward drug than adult.

Harmful effects of drugs are:

  • To affect memory of brain.
  • To damage liver.
  • To damage kidney.
  • To increase blood pressure.
  • To affect nervous system.

We should provide children’s with drug awareness class which can help them to focus on developing good decision power and provide some skills to avoid drink alcohol. Also, we can guide the parents so as how to take care of a child and avoid drinking in front of them and guide their child about harmful effects of drinking and drugs.
