For this question you need to form two equation and do simultaneous equation.
first you need to let A tickets to be x and B tickets to be y.
the first equation is 10x+60y=6000
the second equation is x+y=500
use one of the equation and make the one expression the subject. so i choose equation two.
x+y=500
x=500-y (equation 3)
sub equation 3 into equation 1,

10x+60y=6000
10(500-y)+60y=6000
5000-10y+60y=6000
50y=1000
y=20 tickets

sub y=20 into equation 3,
x=500-20
x=480 tickets
therefore,
A tickets= 480 tickets
B tickets =20 tickets

therefore the answer is D.

Ni Hua is an adventurous traveler. He skydives twice in every island he visits and skydives thrice in every peninsula he visits.
Gnesinka [82]
Let the number of islands visited be x and that peninsulas be y
thus,
x+y=19
⇒y=19-x.........i
if he skydives twice in islands and thrice in peninsulas, then the total number of skydives will be:
2x+3y=45.....ii

substituting i in ii we get:
2x+3(19-x)=45
2x+57-3x=45
putting like terms together we get:
2x-3x=45-57
-x=-12
therefore
x=12
and
y=19-x=19-12=7
hence the number of islands visited was 12 and that of peninsulas was 7

A student pays for pounds of apples with a $ bill. How much change does the student receive? Answer parts a and b. a. What do
blagie [28]

A student pays for 8.9 pounds of apples with a 10$ bill. Its $1.09 per pound. How much change does the student receive? What do you do first to solve the problem?

Answer:

$0.299

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Pounds of apple purchased = 8.9 pounds

Price per pounds of apple = $1.09

Bill issued = $10

First, we calculate the total cost of 8.9 pounds of apple :

(Number of pounds * price per pound)

($8.9 * 1.09) = $9.701

Amount of Change :

Bill issued - total cost

$10 - $9.701

= $0.299

A 45-45-90 triangle has a hypotenuse of length 9. What is the length of one of its legs? If necessary, round your answer to two
olga55 [171]
HL(c) = a² + b² = c²
c = 9
c² = 18
√18= 4.24264068712

So! since this triangle is a "45° 45° 90°"
The two short legs are equivalent

meaning each side equals; 4.24264068712
