For this question you need to form two equation and do simultaneous equation.
first you need to let A tickets to be x and B tickets to be y.
the first equation is 10x+60y=6000
the second equation is x+y=500
use one of the equation and make the one expression the subject. so i choose equation two.
x+y=500
x=500-y (equation 3)
sub equation 3 into equation 1,

10x+60y=6000
10(500-y)+60y=6000
5000-10y+60y=6000
50y=1000
y=20 tickets

sub y=20 into equation 3,
x=500-20
x=480 tickets
therefore,
A tickets= 480 tickets
B tickets =20 tickets

therefore the answer is D.

For the polynomial function ƒ(x) = −x6 + 3x4 + 4x2, find the zeros. Then determine the multiplicity at each zero and state wheth
murzikaleks [220]

There is a multiple zero at 0 (which means that it touches there), and there are single zeros at -2 and 2 (which means that they cross). There is also 2 imaginary zeros at i and -i.

You can find this by factoring. Start by pulling out the greatest common factor, which in this case is -x^2.

-x^6 + 3x^4 + 4x^2

-x^2(x^4 - 3x^2 - 4)

Now we can factor the inside of the parenthesis. You do this by finding factors of the last number that add up to the middle number.

-x^2(x^4 - 3x^2 - 4)

-x^2(x^2 - 4)(x^2 + 1)

Now we can use the factors of two perfect squares rule to factor the middle parenthesis.

-x^2(x^2 - 4)(x^2 + 1)

-x^2(x - 2)(x + 2)(x^2 + 1)

We would also want to split the term in the front.

-x^2(x - 2)(x + 2)(x^2 + 1)

(x)(-x)(x - 2)(x + 2)(x^2 + 1)

Now we would set each portion equal to 0 and solve.

First root

x = 0 ---> no work needed

Second root

-x = 0 ---> divide by -1

x = 0

Third root

x - 2 = 0

x = 2

Forth root

x + 2 = 0

x = -2

Fifth and Sixth roots

x^2 + 1 = 0

x^2 = -1

x = +/- \sqrt{-1}

x = +/- i

Jim is selling hot dogs at a ball game. It cost Jim $250 to purchase everything to make the hot dogs. Jim sells hot dogs for $2.
Olegator [25]
So since he is wasting money to purchase everything you won't be gaining but loosing so 250-2h= P bc it's $2 for every hot dog and you are losing again

Average Temperatures Suppose the temperature (degrees F) in a river at a point x meters downstream from a factory that is discha
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Average Temperatures Suppose the temperature (degrees F) in a river at a point x meters downstream from a factory that is discharging hot water into the river is given by

T(x) = 160-0.05x^2

a. [0, 10]

For x = 0

T(0) = 160 - 0.05 × 0^2

T(0) = 160

For x = 10

T(10) = 160 - 0.05 × 10^2

T(10) = 160 - 5 = 155

The average temperature

= (160 + 155)/2 = 157.5

b. [10, 40]

For x = 10

T(10) = 160 - 0.05 × 10^2

T(10) = 160 - 5 = 155

For x = 40

T(10) = 160 - 0.05 × 40^2

T(10) = 160 - 80 = 80

The average temperature

= (80 + 155)/2 = 117.5

c. [0, 40]

For x = 0

T(0) = 160 - 0.05 × 0^2

T(0) = 160

For x = 40

T(10) = 160 - 0.05 × 40^2

T(10) = 160 - 80 = 80

The average temperature

= (160 + 80)/2 = 120
