Answer:

The rate of delivery 7.256 mL/hour for a 40-lb child.

Explanation:

The recommended maintenance dose of aminophylline for children = 1 mg/kg h

Mass of children = 40 lb = 18.14 kg

1 lb = 0.453592 kg

Amount of aminophylline for children to be given to in a hour:

= 1 mg/kg h  × 18.14 kg × 1 h = 18.14 mg

If 10 mL of a 25 mg/mL solution of aminophylline is added to a 100 mL bottle of dextrose injection.

Amount of dose in 10 mL of 25 mg/mL solution of aminophylline.

The value of dose in which 18.14 mg of dose is present in :

\frac{10}{25}\times 18.14 mL=7.256 ml

So, in a an hour 7.256 volume of the solution of aminophylline should delivered to the childrenin an hour.

The rate of delivery 7.256 mL/hour for a 40-lb child.

Nikolay [14]
Antifreeze is an additive in water-based liquid to lower down the freezing point of such liquid. It is used to make use of the colligative properties of solutions specifically freezing-point depression for cold climate and boiling-point elevation to allow higher coolant temperature.

In a common experiment in the general chemistry laboratory, magnesium metal is heated in air to produce MgO. MgO is a white soli
Digiron [165]

Explanation:

When magnesium metal burns is heated i the air it forms magnesium oxide.The balanced chemical reaction is given as:

2Mg+O_2\rightarrow 2MgO

2 moles of magnesium metal when reacts with 1 moles of oxygen it gives 2 moles of magnesium oxide which is white in color.

Some times along with formation of magnesium oxide small amount of magnesium nitride also produced due to which magnesium oxide appears grey in color .The balanced chemical reaction is given as:

3Mg+N_2\rightarrow Mg_3N_2

3 moles of magnesium combines with 1 mol of nitrogen gas to to give 1 mol of magnesium nitride.

Ammonia will decompose into nitrogen and hydrogen at high temperature. An industrial chemist studying this reaction fills a 500.
patriot [66]

Explanation:

Chemical reaction equation for the give decomposition of NH_{3} is as follows:.

          2NH_{3}(g) \rightleftharpoons N_{2}(g) + 3H_{2}(g)

And, initially only NH_{3} is present.

The given data is as follows.

  P_{NH_{3}} = 2.3 atm at equilibrium

   P_{H_{2}} = 3 \times P_{N_{2}} = 0.69 atm

Therefore,

          P_{N_{2}} = \frac{0.69 atm}{3}

                        = 0.23 aatm

So, P_{NH_{3}} = 2.3 - 2(0.23)

                       = 1.84 atm

Now, expression for K_{p} will be as follows.

         K_{p} = \frac{(P_{N_{2}})(P^{3}_{H_{2}})}{(P^{2}_{NH_{3}})}

           K_{p} = \frac{(0.23) \times (0.69)^{3}}{(1.84)^{2}}

                      = \frac{0.23 \times 0.33}{3.39}

                     = 0.0224

or,           K_{p} = 2.2 \times 10^{-2}

Thus, we can conclude that  the pressure equilibrium constant for the decomposition of ammonia at the final temperature of the mixture is 2.2 \times 10^{-2}.
