1 watt = 1 Joule per second
1 kW = 1,000 watts = 1,000 J/s
1 hour = 3600 seconds
==> 1 kWh = 3,600,000 Joules

Kinetic energy:  KE = 1/2 m v²

3,600,000 J = (1/2) (1,000 kg) (v²)

v² = (3,600,000 J) / (500 kg)  = 7,200 m²/s²

v = √ (7,200 m²/s²)  =  84.8 m/s   (about 190 mph)

From definition 1 kWh = 3600000 J

The formula for KE = 1/2 * m * v^2
3600000 = 1/2 * 1000 * v^2
3600000 = 500v^2
v^2 = 7200
v = 84.85 m/s

A fisherman casts his lure at an angle of 33 degrees above the horizontal. The lure reaches a maximum height of 2.3 m. Assuming
omeli [17]

Answer:

12.32 m/s

Explanation:

Using the formula of maximum height of a projectile,

H = u²sin²Ф/2g................... Equation 1

Where H = maximum height, u = initial velocity, Ф = angle of projection, g = acceleration due to gravity

make u the subject of the equation

u = √(2Hg/sin²Ф)............ Equation 2

Given: H = 2.3 m, Ф = 33°, g = 9.8 m/s²

Substitute into equation 2

u = √[(2×2.3×9.8)/sin²33°]

u =√ [45.08/(0.545)²]

u = 45.08/0.297

u = √(151.785)

u = 12.32 m/s

What can be concluded about the atom from knowing that oxygen-18 has an atomic number of 8? A) An oxygen atom that includes 8 ba
anyanavicka [17]
B)

If it is known that the atomic number is 8, we know that the electrons are also 8. Since the atomic mass (O18) is 18, the neutrons are 18-8=10. Option B is the correct answer.

Hope I helped :)
