the weight (w) of an object is the product of its mass (m) in kilograms and g, the acceleration due to gravity in meters/second2

. if the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 meters/second2, find the corresponding weights for these masses. mass in kilograms = {22.1, 33.5, 41.3, 59.2, 78} the weights (in newtons) for the given masses are .

W = m x g

1) m = 22.1 kg---> w = 22.1kg x 9.8 m/s^2 =216.58 N

2) m = 33.5 kg ---> x = 33.5 kg x 9.8 m/s^2 = 328.3 N

3) w = 41.4 kg x 9.8 m/s^2 = 405.72 N

4) w = 59.2 kg x 9.8 m/s^2 = 580.16 N

5) w = 78 kg x 9.8 m/s^2 = 764.4 N

You have all values that needed to solve the task. Just use the simple formula w = m*g = kg* \frac{m}{s^2} = N. As you see I also gave you the origin of Newton. I don't give you a direct answer because it will be more helpful if you understand it using given formula.

Two sides of a parallelogram are 500 feet and 790 feet. The measure of the angle
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

  • 215117 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Assumed the base is the longer side.

<u>The height of the parallelogram is:</u>

  • h/500 = sin 33°
  • h = 500 sin 33°
  • h =  272.3 ft

<u>The area is:</u>

  • A = bh
  • A = 790*272.3 = 215117 ft²

A tourist standing on the New York City coast sees the Statue of Liberty, which is 305 feet tall. She must tilt her head 9 degre
mixer [17]

Given:

Height of the Statue of Liberty = 305 feet

Angle of elevation = 9 degrees

To find:

The between the tourist and the Statue of Liberty.

Solution:

Using the given information, draw a figure as shown below.

In a right triangle,

\tan \theta=\dfrac{Perpendicular}{Base}

In the triangle ABC,

\tan 9^\circ=\dfrac{305}{x}

x=\dfrac{305}{\tan 9^\circ}

x=1925.6942

x\approx 1926

Therefore, the tourist is standing 1926 feet from the Statue of Liberty.
