The activation energy of a certain uncatalyzed reaction is 64 kJ/mol. In the presence of a catalyst, the Ea is 55 kJ/mol. How ma
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

About 5 times faster.

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, since the Arrhenius equation is considered for both the catalyzed reaction (1) and the uncatalized reaction (2), one determines the relationship between them as follows:

\frac{k_1}{k_2}=\frac{Aexp(-\frac{Ea_1}{RT} )}{Aexp(-\frac{Ea_2}{RT})}  \\\frac{k_1}{k_2}=\frac{exp(-\frac{Ea_1}{RT} )}{exp(-\frac{Ea_2}{RT})}

By replacing the corresponding values we obtain:

\frac{k_1}{k_2}=\frac{exp(-\frac{55000J/mol}{8.314J/molK*673.15K} )}{exp(-\frac{64000J/mol}{8.314J/molK*673.15K} )} =4.8

Such result means that the catalyzed reaction is about five times faster than the uncatalyzed reaction.

Best regards.

If the chemist mistakenly makes 250 mL of solution instead of the 200 mL, what molar concentration of sodium nitrate will the ch
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

0.120M is the concentration of the solution

Explanation:

<em>Assuming the mass of sodium nitrate dissolved was 2.552g</em>

<em />

Molar concentration is an unit of concentration widely used in chemsitry defined as the moles of solute (In this case NaNO3) in 1L of solution.

To find this question we must find the moles of NaNO3 in 2.552g. With this mass and the volume (250mL = 0.250L) we can find molar concentration as follows:

<em>Moles NaNO3 -Molar mass: 84.99g/mol-</em>

2.552g * (1mol / 84.99g) = 0.0300 moles NaNO3

<em>Molar concentration:</em>

0.0300 moles NaNO3 / 0.250L =

<h3>0.120M is the concentration of the solution</h3>

this shows that magnesium is higher in the reactivity series than lead.

I don't think there can be an ionic equation written because both components are in solid form and neither is in an aqeuos state.

Differences between Minerals and ore minerals
quester [9]

Answer:

<em>Minerals are naturally occurring inorganic solids with a crystalline structure and a definite range of chemical formula. Ores are concentrations of minerals in rock that are high enough to be economically extracted for use. All ores are minerals, but all minerals are not necessarily ores.</em>

Hope its helpful!
