Yes, your weight can change if the force of gravity is different on a different planet.

Like on the Moon because acceleration due to gravity is 1/6 that on the Earth, your weight on the Moon would be 1/6 the value on the Earth.

But note that you mass remains the same.

A small circular coil of 5 turns of wire lies in a uniform magnetic field of 0.8 T, so that the normal to the plane of the coil
Travka [436]

Complete question:

A small circular coil of 5 turns of wire lies in a uniform magnetic field of 0.8 T, so that the normal to the plane of the coil makes an angle of 100◦ with the direction of B~ . The radius of the coil is 4 cm, and it carries a current of 1 A.

What is magnitude of the magnetic moment of the coil? Answer in units of A · m2.

Answer:

The magnetic moment of the coil is 0.0252 A.m²

Explanation:

Given;

radius of the coil, r = 4 cm = 0.04 m

number of turns of the coil, N = 5 turns

magnetic field strength B = 0.8 T

current in the coil, I = 1 A

Area of the coil, A = πr² = π(0.04)² = 0.00503 m²

magnetic moment of the coil, μ = NIA

where;

N is the number of turns

I is the current in the coil

A is the area of the coil

magnetic moment of the coil, μ = 5 x 1 x 0.00503 = 0.0252 A.m²

Therefore, the magnetic moment of the coil is 0.0252 A.m²

Which objects will likely have the smallest gravitational force between them?
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

A. Two tennis balls that are near each other

Explanation:

The formula for gravitational force (F) between two objects is

F = \dfrac{Gm_{1}m_{2}}{d^{2} }

where m₁ and m₂ are the masses of the two objects, d is the distance between their centres, and G is the gravitational constant.

Thus, two objects that are far from each other will have a smaller gravitational force. We can eliminate Options C and D.

If the objects are at the same distance, those with the smaller mass will have a smaller force.

The mass of a tennis ball is 57 g.

The mass of a soccer ball is 430 g.

Two tennis balls that are near each other will have a smaller gravitational attraction.

What is the efficiency (w/qh) of an ideal carnot heat engine operating between a hot region at t= 400 k and a cold one at t= 300
Vinvika [58]
The efficiency of an ideal Carnot heat engine can be written as:
\eta = 1-  \frac{T_{cold}}{T_{hot}}
where
T_{cold} is the temperature of the cold region
T_{hot} is the temperature of the hot region

For the engine in our problem, we have T_{cold}=300 K and T_{hot}=400 K, so the efficiency is
\eta= 1 - \frac{300 K}{400 K}=0.25

If the plane is flying in a horizontal path at an altitude of 98.0 m above the ground and with a speed of 73.0 m/s, at what hori
snow_lady [41]

Explanation:

The given data is as follows.

     height (h) = 98.0 m,     speed (v) = 73.0 m/s,

Formula of height in vertical direction is as follows.

          h = \frac{gt^{2}}{2},

or,      t = \sqrt{\frac{2h}{g}}

Now, formula for the required distance (d) is as follows.

       d = vt

          = v \sqrt{\frac{2h}{g}}

        = 73.0 m/s \sqrt{\frac{2 \times 98.0 m}{9.8 m/s^{2}}}

          = 326.5 m

Thus, we can conclude that 326.5 m is the horizontal distance from the target from where should the pilot release the canister.
