If a 2,300 kg car is accelerating at 16 m/s^2, what is the force it is producing?

Force = (mass) x (acceleration)

In order to accelerate the car at that rate, a force of

                  (2,300 kg) x (16 m/s²) = 36,800 newtons
                                               (about  8,270 pounds ... 4.14 tons !)

has to be coming from somewhere ... presumably from the straining,
screaming, smoking engine under the hood.

The force it might apply to an object it runs into will depend on the
shape and composition of that object.

An electric heater,rated 15 volts 40 watts fitted into a metal block supplies heat to the block of mass 1.5kg and specific heat
Ghella [55]

The temperature rises of in the block if the current flows for 10 minutes is, 34.78K.

To find the answer, we need to know about the power of the electric heater.

How to find the temperature rise of in the block if the current flows for 10 minutes?

  • We have given with the variables,

                           P=40 W\\m=1.5kg\\S=460\\t=10minutes=10*60s=600s

  • We have an expression the heat given to the system as,

                             P*t= mSΔT

  • We have to find the temperature rise ΔT,

                           ΔT =\frac{P*t}{mS} =\frac{40*600}{1.5*460} =34.78K

Thus, we can conclude that, the temperature rises in the block if the current flows for 10 minute is 34.78K.

A boy of mass 50 kg walks up a staircase of 10 steps each 15 cm high. Calculate the work done.
Burka [1]

Answer:

735 J

Explanation:

Total height reached(displaced)=10x15 cm

= 10 x 15/100 m

= 1.5 m

Workdone = F.S (force x displacement)

Here, the boy is traveling against the gravitation force(=mg) , and traveled a height of 1.5m

Hence,

Workdone = 50 x 9.8 x 1.5 J

= 735 J

A long, fine wire is wound into a coil with inductance 5 mH. The coil is connected across the terminals of a battery, and the cu
Allisa [31]

Answer:

unchanged

Explanation:

Let the voltage of the battery be V

Inductance L1 = 5 mH

Inductance L2 = 10 mH

consider resistance R of the circuit (wire, battery).

V = I R + L dI/dt

where, I is the current in the circuit and t is the time.

After few seconds of connection being made, the factor dI/dt is negligible. There is no change in the current flowing through the circuit. when inductor was just attached in the circuit, a current
