Answer:

True.

Explanation:

A transformer is used either to increase or decrease the voltage.

It has two separate sets of coils of wire. The coils connected to the input voltage are called primary and the output coils are called secondary.

If number of windings (or coils) of wire in primary are less than the windings in secondary, it is a step up transformer because output voltage will be more than the input voltage. In this case the output voltage given out by the secondary will be more than the primary.

If the primary coils are more than the secondary, it is called a step down transformer. In this case, secondary voltage (output voltage) will be less than the primary.

What does the m stand for in the enthalpy equation?
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Use the formula ∆H = m x s x ∆T to solve.

Explanation:

Once you have m, the mass of your reactants, s, the specific heat of your product, and ∆T, the temperature change from your reaction, you are prepared to find the enthalpy of reaction. Simply plug your values into the formula ∆H = m x s x ∆T and multiply to solve.

Describe Charle’s Law and Boyle’s Law.
ch4aika [34]

Explanation:

Boyle's law can be stated as the "volume of a fixed mass of a gas varies inversely as the pressure changes if the temperature is constant". It is mathematically expressed as;

    P1 V1  = P2 V2

P1 is the initial pressure

V1 is the initial volume

P2 is the final pressure

V2 is the final volume

Charles's law states that the volume of a fixed mass of a gas varies directly as its absolute temperature if the pressure is constant.

It is mathematically expressed as;

            \frac{V1}{T1}    = \frac{V2}{T2}

V and T are volume and temperature respectively

1 and 2 are the initial and final states

The magnetic field is strong near the ____ of a magnet.
shtirl [24]

The magnetic fields of magnets are most powerful at the poles of a magnet. Without any difference in the magnitude, both the poles have equal amount of Magnetic field intensity at their poles.

If you see the field lines we can see the field lines start from the North Pole run parallel and end at the South Pole. The field lines are concentrated more at the poles hence the magnetic field intensity or the magnetic field itself is more at the poles than any other part.

How does the earth move within the solar system?
Morgarella [4.7K]
The earth rotates (spins) at the same time as it orbits in a circular motion around the sun. fun fact : it takes 365 days to complete 1 orbit for 3 years and then 366 days for a leap year! you don't have to put that last part but maybe for some extra points you can!
