An eccentric professor believes that a child with iq 100 should have a reading test score of 50, and that reading score should i

ncrease by 1 point for every additional point of iq. what is the equation of the professor’s regression line for predicting reading score from iq?

<span>y=x-50 where y is the reading test score and and x is iq score. This can be found intuitively. Since each point in IQ should increase the score by one point, we know the slope should be 1. Then we use the fact that reading test score is just iq shifted down by 50. This leads to the subtraction of 50.</span>

The rate constant for this first‑order reaction is 0.150 s−1 at 400 ∘C. A⟶products How long, in seconds, would it take for the c
Afina-wow [57]

Answer : The time taken for the concentration will be, 7.98 seconds

Explanation :

First order reaction : A reaction is said to be of first order if the rate is depend on the concentration of the reactants, that means the rate depends linearly on one reactant concentration.

Expression for rate law for first order kinetics is given by :

k=\frac{2.303}{t}\log\frac{[A]_o}{[A]}

where,

k = rate constant  = 0.150s^{-1}

t = time taken for the process  = ?

[A]_o = initial concentration = 0.860 M

[A] = concentration after time 't' = 0.260 M

Now put all the given values in above equation, we get:

0.150s^{-1}=\frac{2.303}{t}\log\frac{0.860}{0.260}

t=7.98s

Therefore, the time taken for the concentration will be, 7.98 seconds

Three pendulums with strings of the same length and bobs of the same mass are pulled out to angles θ1, θ2, and θ3, respectively,
seropon [69]

Answer:

The angular frequencies of all the 3 pendulums shall be same.

Explanation:

The time period of a simple pendulum with the approximation sin(\theta )\approx \thetais given by:

T=2\pi\sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}

The angular frequency \omega is given by

\omega =\frac{2\pi }{T}\\\\\omega =\frac{2\pi}{2\pi \sqrt{\frac{l}{g}}}\\\\\therefore \omega =\sqrt{\frac{g}{l}}

As we can see that the angular frequency is independent on the initial angle (valid strictly for small angle approximations) we conclude that the angular frequencies of the 3 pendulums are the same.
