In pounding a nail into the board using the hammer, third law of Motion given by Newton is followed or demonstrated.

Explanation:

''For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction'' is the third ''Law of Motion'' that is given by Newton. When a hammer hits the nail into the board, which exerts the on the nail, in reaction to which nail exerts the same amount of force but in opposite direction force. With this action the pair of forces and nail is pounded into the board.

Select all that apply. Which of the following are characteristics of acids? contain hydroxide ion or produce it in a solution ta
julia-pushkina [17]
These are the characteristics that apply:

- In a solution taste sour: which is consequence of the H+ concentration.

- Corrode metals: the H+ ion reacts with the metal producing a salt and water

-Produce hydronium ion in solution: as per the Bronsted - Lowry definition an acid is a substance that donates a proton, H+. This proton will react with H2O to form H3O+ (hydronium), as per this scheme:

HA + H2O --> A(-) + H3O(+)

True or false? When an object deforms, the change of shape is always permanent.
false
true
Alik [6]
True. Because say if you go to a junk place where you can break anything and you decide to squish a printer with a car and when you go look at the printer it’s all deformed there’s really no way that you can fix it. Lol that was an example

How much work does a mother do if she lifts each of her twin babies upward 1.0? Each baby weights 90N
jonny [76]

  Work = (force) x (distance)

To lift each baby, force = 90N,
                                   distance = 1.0 something, let's say  1.0 meter .

Work to lift each baby = (90N) x (1.0 meter) = 90 joules.

Work to lift both of them = 2 x 90 joules = 180 joules.
