NEED ASAP!! Alex studied the image shown below. He concluded that the image shows thermal energy being transferred from the flam

es to the person’s hands through the process of conduction. Which best explains Alex’s error? *
1 Thermal energy is being transferred from the person’s hands to the flames.
2 The hands need to be in direct contact with the flames to have conduction.
3 Thermal energy can only be transferred through radiation with flames.
4 The hands need to be above the flames without touching them to have conduction.
5 The process of conduction cannot happen with flames.

Answer: 2

The hands need to be in direct contact with the flames to have conduction

Explanation:

A fire spreads by transferring  heat energy in three ways: Radiation, Convection, and Conduction. Radiation by emitting energy in rays or waves.  Heat moves through space as energy waves by conduction. As the fire front gets closer, the amount of radiant heat received is increased.

Heat energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation moves away from a hot object in all directions. Radiant heat is particularly important to fire development in a compartment in that it serves as one of the primary mechanisms for fire spread within the compartment.

A question for the physicists out there:
Tomtit [17]
I don't think that's exactly what this website is here for. / / / The average current = 30 C / 120 sec = 250 mA. / / / 1 volt = 1 joule/coulomb ... 30 C x 1.5 x 10^6 J/C = 4.5 x 10^7 joules per stroke. / / / Apoligies for the formatting. Some websites recognize a CR-LF from a mobile device, and others don't.

A generator rotates at 95 Hz in a magnetic field of 0.025 T. It has 550 turns and produces an rms voltage of 170 V and an rms cu
weeeeeb [17]

Answer:

Peak current= 84.86 A

Area of each turn = 0.029 m^2

Explanation:

The peak value of current can be obtained from Irms= 0.707Io. Where Io is the peak current.

Hence;

Irms= 60.0A

Io= Irms/0.707

Io = 60.0/0.707

Io= 84.86 A

Vrms= 0.707Vo

Vo= Vrms/0.707= 170/0.707 = 240.45 V

From;

V0 = NABω

Where;

Vo= peak voltage

N= number of turns

B= magnetic field

A= area of each coil

ω= angular velocity

But ω= 2πf = 2×π×95= 596.9 rads-1

Substituting values;

A= Vo/NBω

A= 240.45/550×0.025×596.9

A= 0.029 m^2

a 10 kg block is attached to a light chord that is wrapped around the pulley of an electric motor. at what rate is the motor doi
defon

Answer:

The rate of work is 360 W

Explanation:

Given:

Speed of block v = 3 \frac{m}{s}

Upward acceleration of block a = 2 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

Mass of block m = 10 kg

First Find the force act on block due to gravity

  F = M (a + g)

Where g = 10 \frac{m}{s^{2} }

  F = 10 \times (10+2)

  F = 120 N

For finding at what rate motor doing work when it is pulling the block upward,

  P = F.v

  P = 120 \times 3

  P = 360 W

Therefore, the rate of work is 360 W
