Answer : Option A) Increased eutrophication caused by high levels of nitrogen and phosphorous increased nitrates.

Explanation : The major human influence on biogeochemical cycles is observed in the increased eutrophication these days. This eutrophication occurs because of presence of excess amount of nitrogen and phosphorus in the water bodies which increases the number of nitrates in it. The major cause is identified to be is nitrogen pollutants; which comes from the surface run-off from agricultural land, whereas most phosphorus pollution is found to be collected from households and industry, including phosphorus-based detergents.

This has drastically affected the biogeochemical cycles that exists in nature.

Which of the following statements is TRUE? (A) An ionic bond is much stronger than most covalent bonds.(B) Once dissolved in wat
Ainat [17]

Answer:

A)  An ionic bond is much stronger than most covalent bonds.

Explanation:

D) Ionic compounds have high melting points causing them to be solid at room temperature, and conduct electricity when dissolved in water. Covalent compounds have low melting points and many are liquids or gases at room temperature.

C) An ionic bond is a type of chemical bond formed through an electrostatic attraction between two oppositely charged ions. Ionic bonds are formed between a cation, which is usually a metal, and an anion, which is usually a nonmetal. A covalent bond involves a pair of electrons being shared between atoms.

A) Covalent bonds are stronger if you compare with ionic molecules, because their molecular orbital overlap is bigger. However, ionic molecules form lattices, thus the energy to break this lattice bond is stronger hence the ionic bond is stronger.

A researcher wants to test the solubility (property of being dissolved) of salt in water as the temperature of the water increas
aev [14]
Have about 5 beakers all with different temperatures of water. Put in a teaspoon of salt at a time and when it stops dissolving stop adding and record how much salt it took. It should be more salt as the temperature rises. The independent variable is the waters temperature. The dependent variable is how much salt is used. Make sure that there is the same amount of water in each beaker. Or else it won’t work.

Explain the effects distance and mass have on the gravitational pull of the planets.
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

Gravity is normal...

Explanation:

Objects with more mass have more gravity. Gravity also gets weaker with distance. So, the closer objects are to each other, the stronger their gravitational pull is. Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. So, theoretically speaking planets move or get pulled due to their huge amount of mass.
