<span>I would say greater than because as you do deeper, the pressure strengthens. If you were in a 10 ft deep pool and you dive all the way to the bottom, the ears usually pop. That's because of the pressure. Whereas if you were to go five feet, your ears wouldn't. It depends on the age of the person. Hope this helps.</span>

According to Newton's Second Law of Motion, an object will accelerate if you apply what kind of force? Question 1 options: Frict
Bumek [7]

An unbalanced force is required to accelerate an object according to Newton's Second Law of Motion.

<h3>What does Newton's Second Law of Motion state?</h3>

It states that the force applied to the object is equal to the product of mass and acceleration.

F = ma

  • An object will accelerate when the net force applied on the object is more than zero or unbalanced.
  • The acceleration is the change in the direction or speed of the object. To achieve acceleration the force must be greater in a direction.

  • When force is greater in one the object move in that direction which is known as acceleration.

Therefore, an unbalanced force is required to accelerate an object according to Newton's Second Law of Motion.

Glass is transparent to visibile light under normal conditions; however, at extremely high intensities, glass will absorb most o
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

3 photons

Explanation:

The energy of a photon E can be calculated using this formula:

E=\frac{hc}{\lambda}

Where h corresponds to Plank constant (6.626070x10^-34Js), c is the speed of light in the vacuum (299792458m/s) and \lambda is the wavelength of the photon(in this case 800nm).

E=\frac{hc}{\lambda}=\frac{(6.626070\times10^{-34})(299792458)}{800\times10^{-9}}=\frac{1.986445812\times10^-25}{800}=2.483057265\times10^{-19}J

Tranform the units

1eV=1.602176634\times10^{-19}J\\2.483057265\times10^{-19}J(\frac{1eV}{1.602176634\times10^{-19}J})=1.549802445eV

The band Gap is 4eV, divide the band gap between the energy of the photon:

\frac{4ev}{1.549802445eV}=2.508974118

Rounding to the next integrer: 3.

Three photons are the minimum to equal or exceed the band gap.

The time delay between transmission and the arrival of the reflected wave of a signal using ultrasound traveling through a piece
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

10.01 cm

Explanation:

Given that,

The time delay between transmission and the arrival of the reflected wave of a signal using ultrasound traveling through a piece of fat tissue was 0.13 ms.

The average propagation speed for sound in body tissue is 1540 m/s.

We need to find the depth when the reflection occur. We know that, the distance is double when transmitting and arriving. So,

v=\dfrac{2d}{t}\\\\d=\dfrac{vt}{2}\\\\d=\dfrac{1540\times 0.13\times 10^{-3}}{2}\\\\d= $$0.1001\ m

or

d = 10.01 cm

So, the reflection will occur at 10.01 cm.
