X = number of flower choices

We have 4 times of trees and 6 kinds of shrubs and x kinds of flowers

Overall, we'll have 4*6*x = 24*x different ways to pick three items (one per type).

Set this expression equal to 168 and solve for x

24*x = 168
24*x/24 = 168/24
x = 7

3. One method you can use to determine whether a triangle is a right triangle, given three side lengths, is to apply the Convers
babymother [125]
Sin < C =  63/65    so m < C =  75.75 degrees

and tan B = 16/63  so m <B =  14.25 degrees

m < C + m<B = 75.75 + 14.25  = 90 degrees

Therefore m < A   = 180-90 = 90

therefore the triangle is right-angled.

Find the mean, range, and interquartile range of the heights of plants given
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

Mean = 30.9

Range = 80

Interquartile Range = 36

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean of a set of numbers is the sum divided by the number of terms. In other words that means 2, 22, 4, 36, 82, 44, 65, 30, 8, 16 go over a fraction like this. There are 10 numbers here so this is our denominator.

\frac{2+ 22 + 4 + 36 + 82 + 44 + 65 + 30 + 8 + 16}{10}

\frac{309}{10} > 30.9

For the range, all we do is subtract the minimum value from the maximum which is 82 - 2. That gives us 80.

For the IQ Range....

Arrange the terms in ascending order.

2, 4, 8, 16, 22, 30, 36, 44, 65, 82

Then we need to find the median which is the average of the two middle terms.

\frac{22+30}{2} > \frac{2*11 + 30}{2} >\frac{2*11+2*15}{2} > \frac{2 * (11 + 15)}{2} > 11 + 15 > 26

So for the lower half of data 2, 4, 8, 16, 22 we have the median of 8

And for the upper half 30, 36, 44, 65, 82 we have the median of 44.

To find the IQ Range it is the difference between the first quartile (8) and the third (44)

So 44 - 8 = 36

3. To combine the equations and solve for one of the variables, you need to eliminate the other variable. How can you change one
Ivan

Answer:

You can multiply the 2nd equation by either -3 or -6

Step-by-step explanation:

If you are using elimination (imo substitution on this problem would be easier), then you need to eliminate <em>one </em>of the variables. If you are wanting to eliminate x first, then multiply by -3. If you want to eliminate y first, then multiply by -6.

Answer:

slope = \frac{6}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculate the slope m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (2, - 5) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (7, 1)

m = \frac{1+5}{7-2} = \frac{6}{5}
