Set up either long division or synthetic div.  I'd do the latter.

Your divisor for synth. div. should be -7.

                           __________
Then              -7 /  2      9      k
                                    -14   +35
                          --------------------
                             2      -5      k+35                 Rem is 32;
                                                                     Let 32 = k + 5 and solve for k:

                                                                           k = -3.

Let's check that.  Is k correct?

Then              -7 /  2      9      -3
                                    -14   +35
                          --------------------
                             2      -5      -3+35  = 32

Since the rem is 32, we are correct; k = -3.

Finger [1]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Given

- 4x + 3y = 12 ( add 4x to both sides )

3y = 4x + 12 ( divide the terms by 3 )

y = \frac{4}{3} x + 4 ← in slope- intercept form

with slope m = \frac{4}{3} and y- intercept c = 4

---------------------------------------------------

Given

- 5x + 3y = - 9 ( add 5x to both sides )

3y = 5x - 9 ( divide the terms by 3 )

y = \frac{5}{3} x - 3 ← in slope- intercept form

with slope m = \frac{5}{3} and y- intercept c = - 3

20 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST !! PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION !!
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

-14

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 3x-5

g(x) = -x^2 +1

g(2) = - (2^2) +1

g(2) =-4+1 = -3

Then stick the -3 in f(x)

f(-3) = 3(-3)-5 = -9 -5 = -14

f(g(2) = -14

Find the distance between the two points (-10,3) and (0,27)
crimeas [40]

Answer:

26 units

Step-by-step explanation:

\boxed{distance \: between \: 2 \: points =  \sqrt{ {(x1 - x2)}^{2} +  {(y1 - y2)}^{2}  } }

Using the formula above,

distance between (-10, 3) and (0, 27)

=  \sqrt{ {( - 10 - 0)}^{2}  +  {(3 - 27)}^{2} }

=  \sqrt{ {10}^{2}  + ( - 24) {}^{2} }

=  \sqrt{100 + 576}

=  \sqrt{676}

= 26 units
