Answer:

The maximum potential energy of the net, compared to its unstretched potential energy, is:    E_{mn} -E_{un} = 8400J

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The  weight of the man is  W_m  =  700 \ N

    The distance of the window to the net is  d = 10 \ m

    The distance stretched by net is  D =  2 \ m

Generally from the of conservation energy , the total energy is conserved

This implies that

      E_m__{i} + E_{un} =  E_m__{f}} +  E_{mn}

Where E_m__{i}} is the initial potential energy of the , man which is mathematically evaluated as

         E_m__{i}} =  W_m * d

Substituting values

       E_m__{i}} = 700 *10

       E_m__{i}} = 7000 \ J

And  E_{un} is the unstretched potential energy of the net

 And  E_m__{f}} is the final potential energy of the man which is mathematically evaluated as

           E_m__{f}} =  - W_m * D

Substituting values

          E_m__{f}} =  - 700 * 2

          E_m__{f}} =  - 1400

The negative show that the direction of the man  is against the direction of gravitational pull

And    E_{mn} is  the maximum potential energy of the net when stretched

So the above equation becomes

            7000 + E_{un} = - 1400  +  E_{mn}

So

       E_{mn} -E_{un}  =    7000 + 1400

        E_{mn} -E_{un}  =   8400J

Explain the Big Bang and how it started
AlexFokin [52]

The big bang is how astronomers explain the way the universe began. It is the idea that the universe began as just a single point, then expanded and stretched to grow as large as it is right now (and it could still be stretching).

Which factors affect the strength of the electric force between two objects
iris [78.8K]

By definition, the electric force is given by:

f = k * \frac{q1q2}{d ^ 2}

Where,

q1: electric charge of object number 1.

q2: electric charge of object number 2.

d: distance between both objects

k: proportionality constant

Therefore, the magnitude of the electric force is affected by:

1) The product of the charges of the objects

2) The distance between objects

Answer:

The factors that affect strength of the electric force between two objects are:

1) The product of the charges of the objects

2) The distance between objects

Light-rail passenger trains that provide transportation within and between cities speed up and slow down with a nearly constant
Reika [66]

Answer:

v = 21 m / s

Explanation:

We can solve this exercise with the kinematics equations, let's start by finding the acceleration of the train with the initial data

            v = v₀ + a t

the initial speed is the speed within the city 6 m / s, the final speed is v = 11 m / s and the time is t = 8 s

             a = (v-v₀) / t

             a = (11 - 6) / 8

             a = 0.625 m / s²

when it leaves the city with speed vo = 11 m / s it accelerates for t = 16 s

            v = v₀ + a t

            v = 11 + 0.625 16

             v = 21 m / s
