First, you have to find a common denominator between 3 and 6. 3 goes into 6 evenly, so 6 is the lowest common denominator.( always go with the lowest common denominator.) Since 3 goes into 6 2 times, what you do to the denominator you do to the numerator.
1/3 x 2 = 2/6. 4/6 stays the same bc the denominator is already 6.
Now, 4/6 - 2/6 = 2/6
Lane had 2/6 of his money left.
Final answer:2/6

Answer: I believe that it might be $1.00

Step-by-step explanation: Well the problem doesn’t tell you how much money he HAD, so if you do 1/3+4/6 you should get 6/6 or 1 as the amount that Lane had.

Suppose we want to choose 5 objects, without replacement, from 15 distinct objects.
goblinko [34]

15444 ways we can choose 5 objects, without replacement, from 15 distinct objects.

Given that, suppose we want to choose 5 objects, without replacement, from 15 distinct objects.

What is a permutation?

A permutation is a mathematical calculation of the number of ways a particular set can be arranged, where the order of the arrangement matters.

Now, 13P_{5}= 13!/(13-5)!

= 13!/8! = 13x12x11x10x9= 1287 x 120 = 15,444

Therefore, 15444 ways we can choose 5 objects, without replacement, from 15 distinct objects.
