As per Einstein's Photo electric effect theory

E = \phi + KE

the energy which incident in form of photon will be absorbed by the metal surface and some of the energy is released in form of KE of ejected electrons

E = 4.3 eV

\phi = 2.2 eV

now from the above equation

E = \phi + KE

4.3 = 2.2 + KE

KE = 2.1 eV

How do mechanical waves to travel from one place to another?
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

Mechanical waves require a medium in order to transport their energy from one location to another.

Sound waves are incapable of traveling through a vacuum. Slinky waves, water waves, stadium waves, and jump rope waves are other examples of mechanical waves; each requires some medium in order to exist.

A man wishes to row the shortest possible distance from north to south across a river which is flowing at 2 km/hr from the east.
sweet-ann [11.9K]

From the diagram we have that

sin\theta = \frac{2}{4}

\theta = sin^{-1} (\frac{1}{2})

\theta = 30\°

Therefore the direction is 30° from east of south
