As per Einstein's Photo electric effect theory

E = \phi + KE

the energy which incident in form of photon will be absorbed by the metal surface and some of the energy is released in form of KE of ejected electrons

E = 4.3 eV

\phi = 2.2 eV

now from the above equation

E = \phi + KE

4.3 = 2.2 + KE

KE = 2.1 eV

What is the special feature of the upper mantle?
mote1985 [20]
The special feature of the upper mantle is the asthenosphere.It is located just below the lithosphere and is made up of rocks that is fluid and can move.The fluidity of these rocks powered the movement of the tectonic plates on the earths crust.Circular convection cycles in the hot,fluid upper mantle rock move the plates over the surface of the earth.

If The density of this stainless steel is7.85 g/cm3,specific heatis 0.5 J/g.K, melting pointis 1673K, heat of fusion s0.260J/kg.
kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

\Delta H=687.4 J

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, for this melting process, we can identify two sub-processes in order to take the stainless steel from solid to liquid:

1. Heat up from 298.15 K to 1673 K.

2. Undergo the phase transition.

Both process have an associated enthalpy as shown below:

\Delta H_1=1g*0.5\frac{J}{g*K} (1673K-298.15K)=687.4J

\Delta H_2=0.001kg*\frac{0.260J}{kg} =0.00026J

Therefore, the required heat is:

\Delta H=\Delta H_1+\Delta H_2\\\\\Delta H=687.4J+0.00026J\\\\\Delta H=687.4J

Notice the problem is not providing neither the mass or volume, that is why we assumed the mass is 1 g; however, it can be changed to the mass you are given.

Best regards!

In a college homecoming competition, eighteen students lift a sports car. While holding the car off the ground, each student exe
Nata [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given

Each student exert a force of F=400 N

Let mass of car be m

there are 18 students who lifts the car

Total force by 18 students F=18\times 400=7200 N

therefore weight of car W=7200

mass of car m=\frac{W}{g}

m=\frac{7200}{9.8}=734.69 kg

(b)7200 N \approx 1618.624\ Pound-force

734.69 kg\approx 1619.71 Pounds

A student attaches a rope to his
erastova [34]

The choices are:

a. Normal Force

b. Gravity Force

c. Applied Force

d. Friction Force

e. Tension Force

f. Air Resistance Force

Answer:

The answer is letter e, Tension Force.

Explanation:

Force refers to the "push" and "pull" of an object, provided that the object has mass. This results to acceleration or a change in velocity. There are many types of forces such as <em>Normal Force, Gravity Force, Applied Force, Friction Force, Tension Force and Air Resistance Force.</em>

The situation above is an example of a "tension force." This is considered the force that is being applied to an object by strings or ropes. This is a type force that allows the body to be pulled and not pushed, since ropes are not capable of it. In the situation above, the tension force of the rope is acting on the bag and this allows the bag to be pulled.

Thus, this explains the answer.
