Gay-Lussac's law described the relation between the pressure and the temperature of a gas at a certain volume.
His law states that: "At constant volume, the pressure of the gas is directly proportional to the temperature."
P/T = constant

This can be written as:
P1 /T1 = P2 / T2 where:
P1 is the initial pressure = 2.1 atm
T1 is the initial temperature = 21 + 273 = 294 degrees kelvin
P2 is the final pressure that we need to calculate
T2 is the final temperature = 85 + 273 = 358 degrees kelvin

Substitute with the givens in the above relation to get the value of P2 as follows:
(2.1) / (294) = P2 / (358)
P2 = 358 * (2.1/294)
P2 = 2.557 atm

what is the acceleration produced by the resultant force acting on an object if the coefficient of friction acting between the b
LenKa [72]

The acceleration of the block is -0.98 m/s^2

Explanation:

The expression for the force of friction acting on the block is (assuming the surface is horizontal and flat):

F_f = -\mu mg

where

\mu is the coefficient of friction

m is the mass of the block

g is the acceleration of gravity

and where the negative sign means the direction of the force is opposite to that of the motion of the block

If this is the only force acting on the object, then this is also the resultant force, so we can rewrite Newton's second law as:

F=ma\\-\mu mg = ma

where

a is the acceleration of the block

Re-arranging the equation,

a=-\mu g

And so this is the expression for the acceleration of the block acted upon the force of friction.

In this problem, we have:

\mu=0.1

g=9.8 m/s^2

Solving,

a=-(0.1)(9.8)=-0.98 m/s^2

A circular orbit would have an eccentricity of
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer: zero (0)

Explanation:

The orbit of a body around another in space, is described by six orbital elements that determine its orientation, position, size and shape.

In the specific case of the shape of the orbit, this is determined by its eccentricity, which varies between 0 and 1 in the case of closed orbits (circle and ellipse). When the eccentricity is 0, the shape of the orbit is circular, when this value begins to vary until approaching 1 (without reaching 1), the shape of the orbit becomes more elliptical.

In this sense, a circular orbit will have an eccentriciy of zero.

The noble gases can be used to as laser mediums. How is the light from one gas different from light of other gases?
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

light in the UV range.

Explanation:

Noble gases and halogens can combine to form lasers called Excimer, for this to happen the noble gas must be ionized with a high voltage discharge, thus forming a molecule of the type

      noble gas (X) + halogen (H) → XH

This molecule is highly unstable and decomposes within a few nanoseconds, emitting light in the UV range.

Which planet moves faster in its orbit: jupiter or neptune? explain?
Setler79 [48]
Jupiter moves faster than neptune in its orbit. It is because jupiter is closer to sun than neptune. The time taken to move on the orbit depends upon the distance from the sun. The length of orbit increases with increasing the distance from the sun and hence the speed also varies accordingly.
