Answer :

Lewis-dot structure : The Lewis-dot structure shows the bonding between the atoms of a molecule and it also shows the unpaired electrons present in the molecule.

The number of valence electrons are represented by 'dot'.

The given molecule is, Carbonyl sulfide (COS)

As we know that the carbon has '4' valence electrons, oxygen and sulfur has '6' valence electron.

Therefore, the total number of valence electrons in Carbonyl sulfide, COS = 4 + 6 + 6 = 16

According to Lewis-dot structure, there are 8 number of bonding electrons and 8 number of non-bonding electrons.

The Lewis-dot structure of carbonyl sulfide is shown below.

A 69.1-g sample of h2o contains how many molecules of water?
8_murik_8 [283]
  The  number  of  molecules   of   water   is calculated  as  follows

find the  moles of   water=  moles=mass/molar  mass

moles  =   69.1g/18 g/mol   =  3.84  moles
by  use of  Avogadro  law constant
that  is  1  mole =   6.02  x10^23   molecules  what   about  3.84   moles  of  water

  the  molecules  of  water  =  (3.84   x   6.02  x10^23) = 2.312  x10^24  molecules
