let sonia has the (x)

Sandeep would have twice as much as Sonia so (2x)

together they'd have 150.

so, x+2x=150

solve for X

3x=150

X=150/3

So x=50 is what Sonia has,

and Sandeep would have 2(50) =100

Can someone help me with the 2 highlighted questions?
dexar [7]

Answer:

2. domain: {3,4,5,6,7}; range: {2,3,4,5,6}

4. IS a function

Step-by-step explanation:

2. The <em>domain</em> is the list of first numbers of each pair.

The <em>range</em> is the list of second numbers.

4. If each value on the left only has <em>one arrow</em> coming from it, the relation <u>is</u> a function. That is the case here.

__

Contrast that to the problem above (3.). In that one, the number 4 1/2 has two arrows coming from it. That relation is NOT a function.

Novay_Z [31]
Hey You!

Tom:

22*7% = 1.54

His Cousin:

18*7% = 1.26

22 + 1.54 = 23.54

18 + 1.26 = 19.26

So, Tom pays $23.54 and His Cousin pays $19.26 and Tom payed more tax.

Water use in the summer is normally distributed with a mean of 311.4 million gallons per day and a standard deviation of 40 mill
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer: 0.965

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Water use in the summer is normally distributed with

\mu=311.4\text{ million gallons per day}

\sigma=40 \text{ million gallons per day}

Let X be the random variable that represents the quantity of water required on a particular day.

Z-score : \dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

\dfrac{350-311.4}{40}=0.965

Now, the probability that a day requires more water than is stored in city reservoirs is given by:-

P(x>350)=P(z>0.965)=1-P(z

We can see that on comparing the above value to the given P(X > 350)= 1 - P(Z < b) , we get the value of b is 0.965.
