How many moles are there in 132g of CO2

Chemistry

You can use grams to moles and moles to grams. In your case just grams to moles. So since you're given grams, you would divide that by the molar mass of CO2 because that's how many grams are in one mole. The mass for Carbon is 12.0104 g/mol and Oxygen it's 15.9994 g/mol so to find the molar mass you would add 12.0104 + (2*15.9994) which gives you a molar mass of 44.0095 g/mol. You divide your given mass (132g) by the molar mass, so there's 2.9993 moles or approximately 3 moles in 132 g of CO2.

Choose the term that best fits the following definition: the liquid or gas that carries the sample across the solid support.
iren [92.7K]

The correct answer is option B.

The liquid or gas that carries the sample across the solid support is called mobile phase.

In chromatography, there are two phases: mobile phase and solid phase.

The mobile phase can be either in gas form or liquid form.

While performing the chromatography technique, mobile phase moves over the stationary phase and its components adsorb to the stationary phase and set apart from each other at different rates.

In general, mobile phase refers to the solvent phase that slides over the stationary phase through the chromatography paper.

on the other hand, stationary phase is motionless.

POS MOLECULES SPEED UP WHEN ENERGY IS CREATED AND SLOW DOWN WHEN ENERGY IS DESTROYED True False? explain why
Colt1911 [192]

Answer: Scientists use the term bioenergetics to describe the concept of energy flow (Figure 4.2) through living systems, such as cells. Cellular processes such as the building and breaking down of complex molecules occur through stepwise chemical reactions. Some of these chemical reactions are spontaneous and release energy, whereas others require energy to proceed. Just as living things must continually consume food to replenish their energy supplies, cells must continually produce more energy to replenish that used by the many energy-requiring chemical reactions that constantly take place. Together, all of the chemical reactions that take place inside cells, including those that consume or generate energy, are referred to as the cell’s metabolism.
