The net force is force applied + force friction ( which is negative ) Unfortunately for some reason the numbers are negative, could you ask your teach about that?

Btw, left is usually force fric. which makes it negative

(-750+-250+-550)+1563 = net force

(-792+-632+-100)+(400+900) = net force

If a pickup is placed 16.25 cm from one of the fixed ends of a 65.00-cm-long string, which of the harmonics from n=1 to n=12 wil
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

The answer to this question can be defined as follows:

Explanation:

Therefore the 4th harmonicas its node is right and over the pickup so, can not be captured from 16.25, which is 1:4 out of 65. Normally, it's only conceptual for the certain harmonic, this will be low, would still be heard by the catcher.

Instead, every harmonic node has maximum fractions along its string; the very first node is the complete string length and the second node is half a mile to the third node, which is one-third up and so on.

Mary was looking out of the window she saw lightening and then heard thunder a few seconds later explain why she saw lightening
alekssr [168]

Explanation:

It is based upon the fact that " The light travels faster then sound." As the speed of light is faster then the speed of sound, light travels 300,000 km per second and sound travels 1192 km per hour. That is why we observe the lightening first and hear the the sound of thunder later.

        You can do this experiment by yourself. Once you see the lightening start counting the seconds until you hear the sound of thunder.Then divide the seconds by 5, you will find out how many miles away the lightening strike was.

The sun emits electromagnetic waves with a power of 4.0 × 10²⁶ W. Determine the intensity of electromagnetic waves from the sun
Sphinxa [80]

Answer:

I_v = 2,700 W / m^2

I_m = 610 W / m^2

I_s = 16 W / m^2

Explanation:

Given:

- The Power of EM waves emitted by Sun P_s = 4.0*10^26 W

- Radius of Venus r_v = 1.08 * 10^11 m

- Radius of Mars r_m = 2.28 * 10^11 m

- Radius of Saturn r_s = 1.43 * 10^12 m

Find:

Determine the intensity of electromagnetic waves from the sun just outside the atmospheres of (a) Venus, (b) Mars, and (c) Saturn.

Solution:

- We know that Power is related to intensity and surface area of an object follows:

                                        I = P / 4*pi*r^2

Where, A is the surface area of a sphere models the atmosphere around the planets.

a)

- The intensity at the surface of Venus is calculated as:

                                       I_v = P_s / 4*pi*r^2_v

                                       I_v = 4.0*10^26 / 4*pi*(1.08*10^11)^2

                                       I_v = 2,700 W / m^2

b)

- The intensity at the surface of Mars is calculated as:

                                       I_m = P_s / 4*pi*r^2_m

                                       I_m = 4.0*10^26 / 4*pi*(2.28*10^11)^2

                                      I_m = 610 W / m^2

c)

- The intensity at the surface of Saturn is calculated as:

                                       I_s = P_s / 4*pi*r^2_s

                                       I_s = 4.0*10^26 / 4*pi*(1.43*10^12)^2

                                      I_s = 16 W / m^2
