konstantin123 [22]

A gingival epithelial cell is attached to the basal lamina. Hemidesmosome

type of cell junction allows the cell to attach to the basal lamina.

Hemidesmosomes are very small stud-like structures found in keratinocytes of the epidermis of skin that attach to the extracellular matrix. They are similar in form to desmosomes when visualized by electron microscopy, however, desmosomes attach to adjacent cells.

Hemidesmosomes are also comparable to focal adhesions, as they both attach cells to the extracellular matrix. Instead of desmogleins and desmocollins in the extracellular space, hemidesmosomes utilize integrins. Hemidesmosomes are found in epithelial cells connecting the basal epithelial cells to the lamina lucida, which is part of the basal lamina.[2] Hemidesmosomes are also involved in signaling pathways, such as keratinocyte migration or carcinoma cell intrusion.

which of the following characteristics is shared by primal religions and modern religions? a focus on rites of passage that mark
Mrrafil [7]

A focus on rites of passage that mark significant moments in an individual's life is a characteristic shared by primal religions and modern religions.

What is rites of passage ?

A ceremony or ritual known as a rite of passage signifies a person's departure from one group and entrance into another.. It entails a considerable shift in social position. In cultural anthropology, the word "rite of passage" relates to a phrase that was developed by ethnographer Arnold van Gennep and published in his book Les rites de passage, The Rites of Passage. The phrase has now been fully included into anthropology as well as popular culture and literature in many modern languages.

According to van Gennep, rites of passage include three stages: separation, liminality, and inclusion.

 1. People prepare to transition from one status to another during the first phase, which sees them retreat from their existing situation.
 2. When someone leaves one state but has not yet entered or joined the next, they are in the transition phase i.e., liminality.
 3. The third stage (reaggregation or incorporation) sees the completion of the ritual subject and the passage. One enters society with their new status once they have finished the ritual and taken on their "new" persona.
