Universal precautions is a standard where anyone in a medical field or even any individual should maintain a non-contact with human body fluids which may be determined as infectious or possibly requires heavy examination. Sample of these include wearing protective gloves or suit. This is very important because being exposed to these pathogens or fluids may cause high risk of infection or even death, when not treated.
