575 / 14

Use easy multiples of 14 that do not exceed 575. Use 10.

(1) 14*10 = 140    575 -140 = 435

(2) 14*10 = 140    435 - 140 = 295

(3) 14*10 = 140    295 -140 = 155

(4) 14*10 = 140   155 - 140 = 15

Now you cannot use another 10*14. Then just divide 15 by 14 which gives 1 and have remainder 1

(5) 15/14  = 1

15 - 14 = 1 = Remainder

Then, the sum of the partial quotients is 10+10+10+10+1 = 41; and you have remainder 1, therefore 575 = 41*14 + 1

And the result of the division is 575/14 = 41 plus remainder 1

Partial quotient<span> is a step-by-step method of division wherein at each step, a </span>partial<span> answer is obtained. After all the steps have been completed, the </span>partial <span>answers are added together to get the </span>quotient<span>. Below is the solution:

575 / 14 = 41.07

I can not step by step the process due to the limited character in this box provided. </span>

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Simultaneous Linear Equations could be solved by using several methods such as :

  • <em>Elimination Method</em>
  • <em>Substitution Method</em>
  • <em>Graph Method</em>

If we have two linear equations with 2 variables x and y , then we need to find the value of x and y that satisfying the two equations simultaneously.

Let us tackle the problem!

\texttt{ }

<em>Let:</em>

<em>Volumes of 2% Solution = x</em>

<em>Volumes of 10% Solution = y</em>

\texttt{ }

<em>Total Volume = 10 ml</em>

\boxed{x + y = 10} → <em>Equation 1</em>

\texttt{ }

<em>The nurse needs to mix 2% solution with 10% solution to get 10 ml of the prescribed 6% solution</em>.

2 \% x + 10 \% y = 6 \% (10)

2x + 10y = 6(10)

\boxed{x + 5y = 30} → <em>Equation 2</em>

\texttt{ }

<em>Equation 1 - Equation 2:</em>

( x + y ) - ( x + 5y ) = 10 - 30

-4y = -20

y = -20 \div -4

y = 5 \texttt{ ml}

\texttt{ }

x + y = 10

x + 5 = 10

x = 5 \texttt{ ml}

\texttt{ }

<h2>Conclusion:</h2>

<em>Volumes of 2% Solution = </em><em>5 ml</em>

<em>Volumes of 10% Solution = </em><em>5 ml</em>

\texttt{ }

How many solutions does this equation have? 6x+5=4x+5
Travka [436]

:\implies \sf  6x +5 = 4x +5

: \implies \sf  6x +5 -4x = 5

:\implies \sf  2x = 5-5

:\implies \sf  2x = 0

:\implies \sf  x = 0

Seems like "6x+5=4x+5" has only one solution that's 0.

I don't understand what you mean by "720 7 7 to the 4 over 5 power", but for "<span>the fourth root of 7 to the fifth power 7 to the 5 over 4 power</span>" it would be 7^5 (seven to the power of 5)
