Answer:

Change in velocity:  88 m/s

Average velocity:  50 m/s

initial velocity:  5.9 m/s

Final velocity:  94 m/s

Initial momentum:  3.6 kg m/s

Final momentum: 58 kg m/s

Explanation:

Acceleration = change in velocity / time

9.8 m/s² = Δv / 9.0 s

Δv = 88 m/s

Work = change in energy

Fd = ΔE

(6.0 N) d = 2700 J

d = 450 m

Average velocity = distance / time

v_avg = 450 m / 9.0 s

v_avg = 50 m/s

v − v₀ = 88 m/s

½ (v + v₀) = 50 m/s

Solving the system of equations:

v + v₀ = 100 m/s

2v = 188 m/s

v = 94 m/s

v₀ = 5.9 m/s

Use Newton's second law to find the mass:

F = ma

6.0 N = m (9.8 m/s²)

m = 0.61 kg

Find the momentums:

p₀ = (0.61 kg) (5.9 m/s) = 3.6 kg m/s

p = (0.61 kg) (94 m/s) = 58 kg m/s

SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

Answer is It was deduced from the rate at which it glimmers.

Refer below.

Explanation:

The X-ray source Cygnus X-1 has a mass of at least 11 solar masses and a diameter of only about one-quarter the diameter of the Earth. With such a small diameter it must be a compact object, and with such a large mass it can't be a white dwarf or a neutron star, so a black hole is the only possibility remaining. The diameter of Cygnus X-1 found:

It was deduced from the rate at which it glimmers.

Suppose the half-life of an element is 10 years. How many half-lives will it take before only about 6% of the original sample re
sergiy2304 [10]
You don't need to worry about the 10 year bit with this question. Just grab a calculator and divide 100/2, then the answer to that (50) by 2 etc and keep dividing by 2 until you get down to 6.25.

The answer ends up being 4 half lives :)

If you don't understand what a half life is please let me know :)

Ana wonders how light can affect a mystery material. The table below shows what happens when different types of light hit the my
vivado [14]

The light can definitely change the mystery material. This can occur through a change in temperature or color (option C).

A material is affected by light mainly if the material absorbs the light. Based on the chart, we know this mystery material can absorb two types of light:

  • Red light.
  • Yellow light.

Moreover, this phenomenon can lead to two main changes:

  • Change in temperature: Light affects materials by increasing their temperature of these. A common example is the way the temperature of an object increases if it is exposed to sunlight.
  • Change in color: Some materials react to light by changing their color.

Based on this, the material can change its color or temperature.

Note: This question is incomplete; here is the missing part:

A. Yes, but the mystery material can change in only one way, such as by getting warm, because all the light that a material absorbs will affect that material in the same way.

B. No. The mystery material can’t change because the light is not a physical thing. Light cannot change physical things like the mystery material.

C. Yes and the mystery material can change in one or two different ways, such as by getting warm and/or changing color, because different types of light can cause different changes to a material when they are absorbed.

D. There is no way to know whether the mystery material will change or not.
