Near the surface of the earth what is the magnitude and direction of the acceleration due to gravity?

Physics

On the surface of the Earth, the acceleration due to gravity is

                 <em>9.8 meters/sec²  </em>(rounded)

toward the center of the Earth.

Wherever we are, since that's the direction in which things fall when they're
dropped, we call the direction toward the center of the Earth by the name "<u>down</u>",
although it's a different direction in every place.

Which index of refraction represents the most optically dense material?
faust18 [17]
The relation between the refractive index and the optical density of the material is a direct relation.
This means that the more the refractive index is, the more optically dense the material is.

Based on the above, when checking the given choices, the refractive index that represents the most optically dense material would be the largest refractive index which is:

Yield management is the process of understanding, anticipating and influencing consumer behavior in order to maximize yield or p
Inessa [10]

This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

The super bowl is right around the corner and Bowen hotels is aquiver with anticipation. They'd like to price their rooms at their three city locations, next to the stadium, near the airport, and in the suburbs, as high as possible but still achieve 100% occupancy. The approach they should take to this opportunity is :

- Yield management

- 360 units per month

- A chase production approach

- A tiered workforce

Answer: Yield management

Explanation:

Yield management, also called revenue management, is a variable pricing strategy usually applied in the hospitality business, such as air travel and several tourism-related enterprises. Yield management aims to produce maximum revenue from a fixed, perishable resource, like plane tickets, hotel room bookings, or advertising inventory. The goal is to obtain the highest possible profit by offering the right price at the right time.

A 49.5-turn circular coil of radius 5.10 cm can be oriented in any direction in a uniform magnetic field having a magnitude of 0
ipn [44]

Answer:

The magnitude of the maximum possible torque exerted on the coil is 5.73 x 10⁻³ Nm

Explanation:

Given;

number of turns of the circular coil, N = 49.5 turns

radius of the coil, r = 5.10 cm = 0.051 m

magnitude of the magnetic field, B = 0.535 T

current in the coil, I = 26.5 mA = 0.0265 A

The magnitude of the maximum possible torque exerted on the coil is calculated as;

τ = NIAB

where;

A is the area of the coil

A = πr² = π(0.051)² = 0.00817 m²

Substitute the given values and solve for the maximum torque

τ = (49.5) x (0.0265) x (0.00817) x (0.535)

τ = 0.00573 Nm

τ = 5.73 x 10⁻³ Nm
