Construction lines should not be erased, because construction lines serve as a guide for you and for your drawing. Construction lines are used as references in positioning objects or other lines in your work. Construction lines must be easily seen and easy to be erased.

How can electric energy be converted to heat energy?
Goshia [24]
To do that, you must pass electric current through a substance
that electrons have to spend energy to pass through.
The substance will be one that gets warm and dissipates heat
when electric current flows through it.
We'll say that the substance has "resistance", which we can measure.
The amount of heat that appears when current flows through it
will be (current²)·(resistance).

A few examples of things used for that purpose:

-- resistors
-- burners on electric stoves
-- coils of resistor-wire in a toaster
-- aquarium heater
-- electric clothes iron
-- electric coffee pot
-- blow-dryer
-- electric hair-curling iron
-- skinny tungsten wire in a light-bulb .

A pogo stick has a spring with a force constant of 2.50 × 104 N/m , which can be compressed 11.2 cm. what maximum height, in met
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

h = 36.4 cm

Explanation:

given,

spring constant = 2.5 x 10⁴ N/m

compressed distance = 11.2 cm = 0.112 m

mass of the child = 44 kg

maximum height = ?

by energy of conservation

K.E_i +P.E_i= K.E_f + P.E_f

\dfrac{1}{2}kx^2 = mgh

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 2.5 \times 10^4 \times 0.112^2 = 44\times 9.8 \times h

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 2.5 \times 10^4 \times 0.112^2 = 44\times 9.8 \times h

156.8 = 44 \times 9.8 \times h

h = \dfrac{156.8}{44 \times 9.8}

h = 0.364 m

h = 36.4 cm

Which of the following types of electromagnetic radiation has the shortest frequency? (2 points) Infrared waves Microwaves Ultra
Irina18 [472]

In order from shortest to longest frequency, the electromagnetic waves can be ranked :

1. X-rays

2. Ultraviolet

3. Infrared

4. Microwave

X-rays has the shortest frequency which ranges between 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz. X-rays have the smallest wavelengths at 0.01-10 nanometers. Its energy ranges between 100eV to 100keV.

True since coulomb's law states that There is electric force between like charges or opposite charges. The negative sign only shows the nature of the force.

<h3>What is the coulombs law ?</h3>

coulombs formula is given by

F=  \dfrac{K\times q_{1} \times q_{2}}{r^{2} }

Now it states that if two charged particles are separated by the distance r and having same or opposite charge will attract or repel each other.

The intensity of the force depend upon the distance and the nature of the charge.

Hence coulomb's law states that There is electric force between like charges or opposite charges. The negative sign only shows the nature of the force.

In the deep ocean, a water wave with wavelength 95 m travels at 12 m/s. Suppose a small boat is at the crest of this wave, 1.2 m
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

the vertical position is 1.1971m

Explanation:

Recall that

y = 1.2 * cos (\frac{2*\pi * distance travelled}{wavelenght})

recall that v = \frac{distance}{time}

thus;  distance =  v* t

this implies that distance = 12 * 5.0

                                          =  60

therefore;  y = 1.2 cos \frac{2*3.142*60}{95}

                  y = 1.1971m
