During the Apollo missions between 1961-1972, they successfully landed on the moon 5 times starting in 1969. It should be noted

that they also successfully lifted off from the surface of the moon. What is the escape velocity for lunar module? Lunar module mass 15,200 kg radius of moon 1.74x106m, mass of moon 7.34x1022kg

The escape velocity formula has nothing to do with what is trying to escape. That means that the mass of the lunar module is not needed.

Formula

v = sqrt( (2 * G  * M) / R)

Givens

v = ??

G = 6.67 * 10^-11 This is the gravitational constant.

M = 7.34 * 10^22 kg

R = 1.74 * 10^6 m

Solution

v = sqrt( 2 * 6.67 * 10^- 11 * 7.34*10^22/1.74*10^6)

v = sqrt(9.79156* 10^12 / 1.74 * 10^6)

v = sqrt(5.627 * 10^6)

v = 2372 m/s

What is the net ion charge of Beryllium?
KATRIN_1 [288]

Explanation:

Beryllium is a group 2 element and its atomic number is 4. Electronic configuration of beryllium is 1s^{2}2s^{2}.

Since, a beryllium contains two valence electrons so, in order to attain stability it will readily lose its 2 valence electrons.

Therefore, a beryllium atom upon losing two valence electrons will acquire a +2 charge.

Thus, we can conclude that the net ion charge of Beryllium is +2.

Define the following solar features in detail: Solar flare: Sunspot Prominence:
Over [174]
Solar flare: a brief eruption of intense high-energy radiation from the sun's surface, associated with sunspots and causing electromagnetic disturbances on the earth, as with radio frequency communications and power line transmissions.

Sunspot Prominence: It is a large, bright, gaseous feature extending outward from the Sun's surface, often in a loop shape. It is similar to a Solar Flare
