The four natural carbon compounds that long-chain in everyday life are \boxed{{\text{carbohydrates, methane, silk, and coal}}}.

The four synthetic carbon compounds that are used in everyday life are \boxed{{\text{teflon, nylon, detergents, and melamine}}}.

Further explanation:

Carbon compounds:

These are the substances that are composed of carbon atoms bonded to any other element. Most of the carbon compounds are organic compounds such as benzene, glucose while there are also inorganic carbon compounds such as carbon dioxide, carbonates, and carbon monoxide.

There is a large range of compounds that are formed by carbon as compared to any other element in the periodic table, except hydrogen. This unique property of carbon is attributed due to its catenation. It is the property of an element due to which it can form bonds with itself and results in the formation of long-chain compounds.

Following are the natural carbon compounds used in everyday life:

1. Biomolecules such as carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and fats are used to fulfill the food requirements of humans.

2. Natural fabrics such as silk, cotton, wool are used in clothing.

3. Organic compounds such as methane, butane, and ethylene are used in wide variety of everyday items. Methane is used to make printing ink and motor tires. Butane is used as LPG fuel in gas cylinders in its liquid form. Ethylene is used as a food preservative.

4. Coal and petroleum are widely utilized in transportation.

Following are the synthetic carbon compounds used in everyday life:

1. Polymers such as polythene and teflon have wide applications in homeware appliances. Polythene is used in manufacturing wires, pipes, bottles, buckets. Teflon is used as coatings for non-stick cookwares used in kitchens.

2. Synthetic fabrics such as nylon and polyester are used to make clothing materials.

3. Soaps and detergents are used for cleansing purposes in everyday life.

4. Melamine has fire-resistant properties and is therefore added in paints, papers, and plastics. It is also used as a pesticide.

According to the octet rule, which of elements will have a tendency to loss 2 electrons?
Aneli [31]
The correct option is STRONTIUM.
Strontium is a group 2 element, that means it has two electrons in its outermost shell. This element will prefer to lose these two electrons in its outermost shell in order to attain the octet form, therefore, it will form electrovalent bond with non metals which it can donate two electrons to.

Balance the following reaction. A coefficient of "1" is understood. Choose option "blank" for the correct answer if the
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

2NH₂ + O₂ → N₂ + 2H₂O

Explanation:

Balancing the equation means, the number of atoms on both sides of the equation must be the same.

In the case of the given equation, we have to find out whether it is balanced or not.

2NH₂ + O₂ → N₂ + 2H₂O

Atoms Number of atoms before balancing after balancing

                 LHS RHS LHS RHS

N 1 2 2 2

H 2 2 4 4

O 2 1 2 2

To balance the N atoms, we have to put 2 in front of NH₂, and then to balance the H, O atoms, we have to put 2 in front of H₂O, so that each atom in left hand as well as right hand side of the equation was balanced.
