Answer:

13.20 cm/s is the rate at which the water level is rising when the water level is 4 cm.

Explanation:

Length of the base = l

Width of the base  =  w

Height of the pyramid = h

Volume of the pyramid = V=\frac{1}{3}lwh

We have:

Rate at which water is filled in cube = \frac{dV}{dt}= 45 cm^3/s

Square based pyramid:

l = 6 cm, w = 6 cm, h = 13 cm

Volume of the square based pyramid = V

V=\frac{1}{3}\times l^2\times h

\frac{l}{h}=\frac{6}{13}

l=\frac{6h}{13}

V=\frac{1}{3}\times (\frac{6h}{13})^2\times h

V=\frac{12}{169}h^3

Differentiating V with respect to dt:

\frac{dV}{dt}=\frac{d(\frac{12}{169}h^3)}{dt}

\frac{dV}{dt}=3\times \frac{12}{169}h^2\times \frac{dh}{dt}

45 cm^3/s=3\times \frac{12}{169}h^2\times \frac{dh}{dt}

\frac{dh}{dt}=\frac{45 cm^3/s\times 169}{3\times 12\times h^2}

Putting, h = 4 cm

\frac{dh}{dt}=\frac{45 cm^3/s\times 169}{3\times 12\times (4 cm)^2}

=13.20 cm/s

13.20 cm/s is the rate at which the water level is rising when the water level is 4 cm.

How are compounds created?
Flauer [41]

The answer is that compounds are formed when elements are joined and held together by strong forces called chemical bonds.Covalent bonds share electrons between atoms in order to fill their electron shells. In the compound, molecules are held together by the attraction between the nucleus and the shared electrons. (I got this from the internet so credits to the internet)

Quinine in a 1.664-g antimalarial tablet was dissolved in sufficient 0.10 M HCl to give 500 mL of solution. A 15.00-mL aliquot w
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

533.33 mg quinine

Explanation:

First we<u> calculate the concentration of the diluted sample</u>, using the values obtained by the standard:

  • 288 * 100 ppm / 180 = 160 ppm

Now we use the dilution factors to <u>calculate the concentration of quinine in the original sample</u>:

  • 160 ppm * 100mL/15mL = 1066.67 ppm

ppm can be defined as <u>mg of quinine</u>/L solvent:

500 mL solution ⇒ 500/1000 = 0.5 L

  • 1066.67 ppm * 0.5L = 533.33 mg quinine

Explain how viscosity is relate to the flow and attraction between atoms in a liquid?
liraira [26]

Explanation:

The viscosity of the liquid has been used to evaluate its resistance to flow. Air, gasoline, as well as other fluids that move quickly, are of low viscosity. The particles throughout the liquid are covered by other particles and drawn uniformly in both directions by cohesive forces inside the liquid.
