Answer:

1.38 atm

Explanation:

Using Boyle's law which states that the volume of a given mass of gas is inversely proportional to the pressure, provided temperature remains constant

P1V1= P2V2

P1 = 2.2 atm, V1 = 2.5L ,

P2 = ? , V2 = 4L

2.2 × 2.5 = P2 × 4

Divide both sides by 4

P2 = 5.5 ÷ 4

P2 = 1.38 atm

The most unusual characteristic of Uranus is _____.
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

the axis is tilted at 98 degrees

Explanation:

Uranus is blue, not green; it has an atmosphere of hydrogen and helium, not methane. While it does have an icy cold temperature, that's not a very unusual characteristic for an outer planet. However, the tilt of the axis is unusual; no other planet is tilted almost completely on its side!

Describe the characteristics of the moon and the Earth for each phase of the
Yuri [45]
Before we describe the phases of the Moon, let's describe what they're not. Some people mistakenly believe the phases come from Earth's shadow cast on the Moon. Others think that the Moon changes shape due to clouds. These are common misconceptions, but they're not true. Instead, the Moon's phase depends only on its position relative to Earth and the Sun.

The Moon doesn't make its own light, it just reflects the Sun's light as all the planets do. The Sun always illuminates one half of the Moon. Since the Moon is tidally locked, we always see the same side from Earth, but there's no permanent "dark side of the Moon." The Sun lights up different sides of the Moon as it orbits around Earth – it's the fraction of the Moon from which we see reflected sunlight that determines the lunar phase.

How can you tell from the name the types of bonds present in a hydrocarbon?
Darya [45]

Answer:

Alkane

Alkene

Alkyne

Explanation:

Alkane=1 bond (Saturated hydrocarbon)

Alkene= 2 bonds (Unsaturated hydrocarbon)

Alkyne= triple bonds (Unsaturated hydrocarbon)

Formula of Alkane = CnH2n+2

Formula of Alkene = CnH2n

Formula of Alkyne = CnH2n-2

Phoenix [80]

Physical and chemical changes are reversible and nonreversible changes. The release of carbon dioxide gas indicates a chemical change.

What is a chemical change?

A chemical change is a change in which a new substance is produced when the reactants react in the reaction mixture. The chemical produced cannot be reversed back to the reactants and hence, it is nonreversible.

The release of carbon dioxide is a chemical change as limestone and hydrochloric acid react with each other chemically and as a result, a new substance was formed.

Therefore, the production of carbon dioxide indicates a chemical change.

Which theory describes the motion of and force driving earth’s plates?
swat32

The theory that describes the motion and force driving earth's plates is Plate tectonics

Explanation:

Plate tectonics states that the outer shell of the Earth is divided into plates that glide and move over the mantle which is the surface of the earth.

The mantle is the rocky inner layer above the core of the Earth.

Plate tectonics helped the geologists to explain how continents could move around the planet.

There are 9 major plate tectonics , namely North American, Pacific, Eurasian, Australian, African, Indo - Australian,Indian South American and Antarctic. These plates have been named after the land form found on them.
