Answer:

To isolate the microorganism from the mice and determine if it is identical to the original unknown bacteria.

Explanation:

The next step to take is to isolate the microorganism from the mice and determine if it is identical to the original unknown bacteria.

Koch's postulates opines four criterion for which a microbe will be regarded as a causative agent of a disease if the following takes place.

That, the microorganism should be present in all the organism suffering from the disease. That these isolated microorganism are meant to be grown in a pure culture. After being grown in the culture, they  should be reintroduced in the susceptible but healthy host. In conclusion, from the experimental host, the microorganism must be re-isolated. Hence, cultured to see whether it is identical to the original specific microorganism.

Explain transmethylation reaction of amino acids.
tester [92]

Answer:Transamination, a chemical reaction that transfers an amino group to a ketoacid to form new amino acids. This pathway is responsible for the deamination of most amino acids. This is one of the major degradation pathways which convert essential amino acids to non-essential amino acids (amino acids that can be synthesized de novo by the organism).

A solution contains 0.60 mg/ml mn2+. what minimum mass of kio4 must me added to 5.00 ml of the solution in order to completely o
azamat
The given solution of Mn²⁺ is 0.60 mg/mL.
Hence mass of Mn²⁺ in 5 mL of solution = 0.60 mg/mL x 5 mL = 3 mg

Molar mass of Mn = 54.9 g/mol
Hence, moles of Mn²⁺ = 3 x 10⁻³ g / 54.9 g/mol = 5.46 x 10⁻⁵ mol

The balanced equation for the reaction is,
2Mn²⁺ + 5KIO₄ + 3H₂O → 2MnO₄⁻ + 5KIO₃ + 6H⁺

The stoichiometric ratio between Mn²⁺ and KIO₄ is 2 : 5

Hence, moles of KIO₄ reacted = 5.46 x 10⁻⁵ mol x (5 / 2)
                                                 = 13.65 x 10⁻⁵ mol
Molar mass of KIO₄ = 230 g/mol

Hence needed mass of KIO₄ = 13.65 x 10⁻⁵ mol x 230 g/mol
                                               = 0.031395 g
                                               = 31.395 mg
                                               ≈ 31.4 mg

Use electron configurations to account for the stability of the lanthanide ions Ce⁴⁺ and Eu²⁺.
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Ce metal has electronic configuration as follows

[Xe] 4f¹5d¹6s²

After losing 4 electrons , it gains noble gas configuration ,. So Ce ⁺⁴ is stable.

Eu  has electronic configuration as follows

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷6s²

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷

Its outermost orbit contains 2 electrons so  Eu²⁺ is stable. Its +3 oxidation state is also stable.

Ce⁺²
