To get the solution you must need to draw a force triangle. Attach the head of the 60N north force arrow with the tail of the 60N east force arrow. The subsequent is the arrow connecting he tail and head of the two arrows.
You get a right angled triangle, and the resultant is (60^2 + 60^2) ^0.5 = 84.85 N or 85 N northeast.

What is the purpose of a reference point?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer: To establish a point from which to measure a future distance, or if movement has occurred.

Explanation:

A reference point is a point with respect to which one comes to know whether any movement has occurred or not. A still point is required. When the object changes distance from that point, it means that object has moved. The distance can be calculated from one point to another.

Therefore, A reference point is used to establish a point from which future distance or if movement has occurred is detected.

A geosynchronous satellite orbits Mars (mass = 6.42 x 1023 kg) once every Martian day, 88640 s. At what radius does it orbit?
Schach [20]

Answer:

angular speed ω = 2PI / T rad/sec

ω^2*r = M*G/r^2

r = ³√ M*G/ω^2 = ³√6.42*10^23*6.67*10^-11*88640^2/39.5 = 2.04*10^7 m

Which of the following contributes to the phases of the Moon as seen from Earth?
balandron [24]

Answer: Varying amounts of the Moon's lit surface being visible from Earth.

Explanation:

Phases of the moon can be defined as the different shapes of the moon visible from the Earth. This happens because sun lits up the face of moon and due to different position of moon in the orbit around earth, varying portion of the lit surface of the moon is visible from Earth. Refer to the diagram below:
