Answer with explanation:

In Inferential Statistics, for a set of variate or the values in the data set, mean or the other measure of variation, is calculated , then to check the accuracy, or variation in the data set, Several number of times , mean or the other measures of Variation, is calculated for the same data set . And then the hypothesis about the observation which was built earlier or given hypothesis ,if hypothesis found partially true or Incorrect, then the hypothesis is checked,with the help of result obtained, if necessary that is if result do not match,then the, Hypothesis can be or surely, altered.

→→Now,it is given that ,a production manager tests 10 toothbrushes and finds that their mean lifetime is 450 hours,then she designs a sales package for this type of toothbrush. it states that consumers can expect the toothbrush to last approximately 460 hours.

Yes, this is an example of inferential statistics because,Sample size of toothbrushes selected, is equal to 10,which is quite bigger to get the better result,that is to get the mean lifetime,which is 450 hours, and then the hypothesis about the data set is made,which is consumers can expect the toothbrush to last approximately 460 hours.So,Actual Mean lifetime do not vary very much with Hypothetical mean.

So, yes this is a statistical inference called Hypothetical Testing.

What is 3(2x-4)=5x+2
otez555 [7]
First we distribute 3 into 2x and -4.

3 x 2x = 6x
3 x -4 = -12

That will make the left side of the equation:

6x - 12 = 5x + 2

Now we subtract 5x on both sides of the equation.

x - 12 = 2

Finally we add 12 on both sides of the equation.

x = 14 is the answer
