This is an activation energy graph of an endothermic reaction. it goes up and then comes back down a little but stabilizes out at a point above where it started. This is because the products have more energy than the reactants because you had to put energy into it to make it go.

During an endothermic reaction you add energy to make it go. Whenever you put energy into something that enthalpy change is positive. Looking at the graph, we can conclude that the reactants have less energy than the products. Answer is number two.

mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer : The correct option is, 13.7 mole

Solution : Given,

Moles of H_2 = 27.4 moles

The given balanced chemical reaction is,

2H_2+O_2\rightarrow 2H_2O

From the balanced chemical reaction, we conclude that

As, 2 moles of H_2 react with 1 moles of O_2

So, 27.4 moles of H_2 react with \frac{27.4}{2}=13.7 moles of O_2

Therefore, the number of moles of oxygen O_2 required are, 13.7 moles

How does mass affect potential energy?
Andreyy89

What i would say: The amount of gravitational potential energy an object has depends on its height and mass. The heavier the object and the higher it is above the ground, the more gravitational potential energy it holds. Gravitational potential energy increases as weight and height increases.

Hope this helps! :)
