Gravity. The pull of gravity keeps the planets, Moon, and satellites from just continuing in a straight line off into space. It also keeps you able to walk to school or ride a school bus -- without it there would be no friction you could use to propel yourself.

How can you tell which part of the graph resulted from the fastest speed in a d vs. t plot?
Art [367]

Answer:

Wherever the slope is increasing or decreasing the sharpest.

Explanation:

In a distance v time graph, the slope is the speed. So the sharper the slope, the faster the object is going.

A student standing on a knoll throws a snowball horizontally 4.5 meters above the level ground toward a smokestack 15 meters awa
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

2.4 m

Explanation:

Consider the motion along the vertical direction

y_{o} = initial position of ball above the ground = 4.5 m

t = time taken by the ball to hit the smokestack = 0.65 s

v_{oy} = initial velocity of the ball along vertical direction

a_{y} = acceleration due to gravity = - 9.8 m/s²

y = position of ball at the time of hitting the smokestack

Using the kinematics equation

y = y_{o} + v_{oy} t + (0.5) a_{y} t^{2}

inserting the above values

y = 4.5 + (0) (0.65) + (0.5) (- 9.8) (0.65)^{2} \\y = 2.4 m

Each student aligns the edge of the object with the left edge of the ruler and records a length of 4.6 cm. Which statement descr
TEA [102]
If they align the object at the very edge of the ruler, the measurement in inaccurate. They would have to start the measurement at 0 to get an accurate measurement. When starting at the very edge, you are not taking into account the little bit of the ruler and it between the edge of the ruler and the 0 marker.
Some people start at the 1 cm mark (and then subtract 1 from their raw measurement) to make sure they have the most accurate measurement they can get.
I'm pretty sure that is what you are talking about. Hope this helps!!

Erosion and Weathering can cause changes in earths surface but how does erosion alone changes the earth surface.
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

The action of erosion alone can change the earth's surface. Erosion can wash away nutrients on the earth's surface, change the appearance of the soil of a particular area over time, can bore holes, that form caves, change landscapes for example when the earth is hit with gully erosion by continuous water runoff over time. Erosion can move soil to a new area.

Explanation:

Weathering involves breaking down rock into smaller pieces without any form of formal movement of those broken rock pieces. These processes that can lead to weathering are caused by mechanical, chemical, and organic processes which can happen over time. Erosion can now move broken rock pieces or soil to another place by water or wind. Weathering and erosion constantly change the Earth's surface.
