Circumference of the wheel = pi*d = 26pi ins =  13pi / 6   feet
there are 8280 feet in 1 mile

The number of revolutions  in travelling 1 mile  = 5280 * 6
                                                                               ----------- =  776  revs
                                                                                    13 pi

Answer:

776 revolutions per mile

Step-by-step explanation:

First we need to find the Circumference of the wheel.

Formula for circumference = πD

Where D = Diameter of the car wheel = 26 inches

Circumference of the car wheel = π × 26

= 81.68 inches

We have to find, how many inches make 1 mile.

1 mile = 63360 inches.

To determine the number of revolutions a car wheel of diameter 26 inches will travel,

= 63360 inches ÷ circumference of the car wheel

= 63360 inches ÷ 81.68inches

= 775.71 revolutions per mile

To the nearest whole number = 776 revolutions per mile.

Marcus states that the polynomial expression 3x3 – 4x2y + y2 + 2 is in standard form. Ariel states that it should be y2 – 4x2y +
lubasha [3.4K]
The degree of a polynomial is the highest power of its terms.
The power of a term is the sum of the powers of all the variables in a term.
A polynomial is written starting with the greatest power in standard form.
In the first case, the power of the first term is 3, the power of the second is 3 (2 from x + 1 from y) but the power of x has decreased so it is the second term, and then so on.
In the second case, the power is starting form 2 and then increasing to 3. This is incorrect.
Therefore, Marcus' suggestion is correct.

A bookstore had 90 copies of a magazine. Yesterday, it sold 1/6 of them. Today, it sold 1/5 of what remained. How many copies do
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

60 copies

Step-by-step explanation:

first you take 1/6th of the original 90 copies which is 15 and subtract that from the 90, you are left with 75 copies which is how many they had left at the end of yesterday. then you take 1/5th of the 75 copies that are left which is also 15 and you subtract that from 75 and you get 60. that's why at the end of today there are 60 copies left.
