Why freezer is made in the upper part of refrigrator
svp [43]

Question

why freezer is made in the upper part of refrigrator

✒ Answer

the cold air produced from it is denser than the warmer air in the bottom

Explaination

Freezer is normally provided at the top of the refrigerator, because density of the cold air is high compared to the hot air. In a refrigerator the air contacts with the cooling coil and gets cooling.Because of the high density the cold air gets down and the warm air/hot air moves upward and gets cooling from the cooling coil/evaporator coil. This process is repeated. If the Freezer is provided at the bottom place of the refrigerator, the cold air can't to move full area of the refrigerator. So the freezer is normally provided at the top at the refrigerator

A moderate force will break an egg. However, an egg droppedon the road usually breaks while one dropped on the grass usuallydoes
Fed [463]

Answer:

C. the time interval for stopping is greater.

Explanation:

As the egg falls onto the grass, it takes a a greater amount of time for it to stop, and thus the force that is being applied to it is in increments; there is never enough force applied on the egg for it to break. That's why the egg doesn't break when it lands on the grass.

In contrast, when the egg is dropped on the road, all of the force that is being applied by the road on the egg is in the tiny interval when the egg touches the road, That force is large enough to break the egg because it is being applied in a tiny amount of time. That's why the egg dropped on the road breaks.

So here is the rule of thumb: if you don't want to break your things but still want to drop them, drop them such that it takes some for them to stop—because force will applied to them gradually.

In your own words, explain the relationship between distance and time
ExtremeBDS [4]
If the distance is in km and time is in hours, then the speed is km/hr.

If the distance is in m and the time is in seconds, then the speed is m/sec.

What is ax, the x-component of the object's acceleration? express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropr
aliina [53]
Answer: F = ma Fx = max WHERE: Fx = forces in the x direction m = mass ax = acceleration in the x direction If we look at the figure, there are only two forces in the x direction. The first force is the x component force 4.0 N acting to the right, denoted as +4.0 N. The second force is the 2.0 N force acting to the left, denoted as -2.0 N. Fx = max 4.0 N - 2.0 N = (7.8 kg)*ax 2.0 N = (7.8 kg)*ax ax = 0.25641 m/s^2 Because the question is asking you to write it to two significant figures, ==>ax = 0.26 m/s^2
