Answer:

The molecules of the gas has more kinetic energy and has a lot of space between them. The molecules in the liquid moves slower than gas and has a tighter space than gas. Another difference is liquid takes up the shape of its container while gas does not. Cause its air.

andreev551 [17]

Answer:

1.332 meters per second. // 2.664 meters per second.

Explanation:

the slower person moved 33.3 meters, and the faster person moved 66.6 meters.

the slower person is moving 33.3 meters in 25 seconds, while the other person is moving 66.6 meters in 25 seconds

slower person moved 33.3/25 = 1.332 meters per second.

faster person moved 66.6/25 = 2.664 meters per second.

Which of the following alkyl halides will react fastest with CH3OH in an SN1 mechanism?
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

IV

Explanation:

The complete question is shown in the image attached.

Let us call to mind the fact  that the SN1 mechanism involves the formation of carbocation in the rate determining step. The order of stability of cabocations is; tertiary > secondary > primary > methyl.

Hence, a tertiary alkyl halide is more likely to undergo nucleophilic substitution reaction by SN1 mechanism since it forms a more stable cabocation in the rate determining step.

Structure IV is a tertiary alkyl halide, hence it is more likely to undergo nucleophilic  substitution reaction by SN1 mechanism.
